My cats name is Astrid! If it wasn't our cats name, we would have short listed it for dd1.

    We also considered...
Diamond (it's a boys name in our baby name book)
Avrilette (French for a girl born in April, didn't use it as dds were born in May and June
I have a big list somewhere, will have to dig it up..

Astrid is one of my sisters name choices, as well as Edith, Roselyn and Enid. If I had a girl, and my DH agreed, Astrid Edith, or Enid would of been our choices as well. But I couldn't do it to my sister.

    Got it in one!

But I figure that was them, back then.... It could be ages by the time we have a dd who its then old enough for those jokes.

That's why I've scratvhed Aster. Dp pointed that out to me the other day. Kids are horrible no matter what your name but I dont want to make it easy for them.

Great lists eveyone. No names have jumped out at me though. Still stuck. Lucky I have 5mths to go.

I'm not phased about kids turning names into nicknames. You'll always find something wrong with a name if you look hard enough.

I love Aster even more! My name doesn't rhyme with anything or sound like anything and I still got teased with made up words!

Still really stuck. I've got a list of 10 names but none really jump out at me. I liked Fallon for a while but Dp flat out hated it. He also said no to Lucia.
