So sorry to hear Miss V. You are way overdue for a BFP. Please please please let next month be your month!!
Calstar Sorry to hear your life is really crap at the moment and you don't have the time to yourself that you need to grieve. Maybe even if you have the time and money just spend 1 night somewhere away from home and have a night of room service and time to think over everything that is happening. Take care.
Miss V I am so sorry to hear that AF is lurking I hope she doesn't arriveyou have well and truly earned your BFP now. Fingers crossed for October if not this month and if not then I have everything crossed that IVF is the answer that is finally going to get you and DH the baby you desire with all your hearts.
Nomie I hope you get your answers back soon and that they are helpful, as LIttle Ted has said give specialist a call in the morning.
Fingers crossed for some more BFP's in here soon ladies.
Nomie I hope you get news that helps you move forward today. Limbo land is not a nice place for a long stay. I hope you get some answers and your ticket out of there! Did you get a reason as to why they didn't do the d+c properly at the time?
Miss v I really hope this next cycle is the one! You are the most patient person here, and so long overdue. Best wishes for a sticky bfp!
I hope you get your answers little ted. I think we need to give ourselves more credit for what we feel to be the problems with our bodies. I mean we live in them 24/7! I would deffinantly be mentioning all of that to any fs you see.
Afm, had a little bit of spotting this morning after my run. Af is not due for another week, but if af does arrive it would make my lp 12 days so I guess it all fits. I'm just worried now as I had it all sorted that I would only be 1 week dpo when I run this 9km race, now I could be 2 weeks. I think if I get a positive test, I'll just walk. Singing merrily to myself!
Oh and I'm 2 kg down, only 4 to go! Bring on a bikini in November!

Whats the protocol with ob's? I have her mobile number from the last time she called me so I could call her directly but I don't like the idea of that. I usually call the front desk first but when I did that last week they said I should hear back from her early this week with the results. I think I'll hang tight for now.
Besides, I've been poas every four days and the lines are slowly getting lighter and lighter. The last one I took was yesterday and it's getting close to being a negative test. As soon as I hit negative my body should release an eggy and then AF shouldn't be too far behind.
My mum bought some little singlets for her future grandchild. It was such a nice gesture. I haven't bought any baby stuff so this is the very first baby item in our house. I looked at them and was reminded that I will have a baby one day.
Trio, if you do fall pregnant and have to walk the race, will that be a dead give away that you are pregnant? Oh I forgot to ask about why do they don't do a mandatory ultrasound after a d&c!! I'll have to ask again next time.
To those that are almost due, how much time are you taking off work after you have bub? Do you have paid leave from work, or are you using the paid parental leave from the government?
Not quite almost due (4 months to go!), but I'm planning to take about 6 months off. I'm not eligable for the government PPL but luckily will get the baby bonus, however my uni scholarship has paid maternity leave so I will take that. As far as I know you can get PPL from the government plus paid leave from your work too if they have it.

It's good if they do one or the other Nomie after a mc - either monitor hcg levels to make sure they go back to 0 or do an ultrasound. Often they try to avoid the u/s as it can potentially introduce/begin an infection as cervix may not be completely closed again.
With your ob Nomie - It really only takes less than a day for hcg bloods to be done - thankfully they are one of the simpler tests. If you're happy that it's going down though that is good. If unsure, I would just call their front desk and not the mobile number - I would keep that one somewhere for emergencies in the future. Usually my specialist's nurse gives me a call the next day with the numbers for P4, beta hcg.
Sorry to hear af arrived miss v.

Nomie I have my ob's business card and from memory his number is on his card so because of that I would be comfortable calling his mobile in an emergency... I don't know if that helps but if you aren't getting answers any other way...
As for mat leave, I'm aiming for 12 months but will assess when the time comes! And I'll be eligible for gov PPL as well and however many weeks my work offer...

Midwife just called me back and said my levels have fallen from 109 to 44 in a week. That sounds good, right? She said the ob will call me back if there is anything further she'd like me to do otherwise it's just a matter of waiting until my levels hit zero and AF arrives and hoping that the left over tissue comes away with that. At least the levels are falling. Yay!
I'd like to thank you all for your supportive messages. It really meant a lot.
Me & dh are going to the hospital chapel tonight at the same time as Nan's funeral service will be happening in England.
Dh's mate also moved into his own place on Friday, so that stress has now gone (thank goodness!)
Me & DH spent day together on Saturday which was nice. Didn't happen again yesterday though so was a bit down last night.
Work is still busy, and will be for a while.
Really should book a holiday soon, I really need it!
Hope everyone else is travelling well xx
