    Yeah, I am dependant on the oxy which is another reason methadone is being recommended as I do need the pain relief.

    Generally people that are on things like OxyContin are on them long term. These kinds of drugs are specifically designed for long term sustained pain relief. Granted they are abused a great deal by loads of people and are 'addictive' but for most people that use them it gives them normalcy and a good quality of life from chronic pain.

    It's a drug that has become such a big problem that's for sure . It's so similar to heroin and easily accessible for the most part
