I am with Monash IVF and am seeing Lynn Burmeister, she is based at the Epworth in Richmond and has lovely nurses on her team - she has worked some miracles so I hope she can this time around for me and I would HIGHLY recommend seeing her. http://www.drlynnburmeister.com.au/ There is BH forum about her too - http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...ase&highlight=

I waited 2.5 months to see her and so glad I did. She is going to do an endometrial biopsy for me this time around to help with implantation and also check that my lining is ok.

Other very successful Monash FS's are Peter Lutjen and Nik Lolatgis - the wait to get in to see them isn't as long.

The wait to get in can be long but ask to go on her waiting list and you can get in quickly (I don't know if it'd help if you said "a friend of mine sees Lynn" to see if you could get in quicker... probably not but if you'd like to try it anyway I am happy to PM you my name!)

Would you do both - I mean do another round of ICSI before DH has the reversal so you can try with IVF and if it doesn't work he may have had a month or 2 or recover?? I am sure Lynn would discuss this with you as I don't really know what I am talking about - haha!

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions - more than happy to help!

STC congratulations on being PUPO - TWW donts are no heavy lifting, hot baths, heat packs on your belly, strenuous exercise. Do's - relax, eat brazil nuts (5 a day), lots of green vegies to help with blood flow... umm that's all I have right now!!
Thanks so much JB, we thought about doing both but a)cost factor and b)time factor has made us decide to try one more time with ICSI. I was recommended to Dr Gareth Weston at Monash and we were so lucky that someone cancelled and we got in on the 30th of this month! I am so relieved, I thought we'd be waiting months to get in...he certainly has a lot of letters after his name lol! He says that we can start stimming in October, same day as you I believeso if ever you're sitting in the waiting room wondering who of those waiting are BHers look for long dark blonde hair bout 5'7...hahaha. Im really happy to be using Monash, it sounds like they have a really professional approach. BFP's for us both in Oct/Nov Thank you again. Congrats on being PUPO stc!!

Emzy that is great news!! Hopefully a new clinic and a fresh pair of eyes on your charts will get you your BFP!! I hope we are stimming together (really don't want to start any earlier than the 17th so EPU doesn't clash with my best friends wedding!!) Looking forward to being cycle buddies and might bump into you in the waiting rooms! Is Gareth based in Clayton or Richmond?

Given the fact I'm 39 ans the big 4 0 scares the crap out of me Im now wondering if its worth another round of ICSI given our time factor. Is anyone going through Monash in Melbourne? My last round was through Melb IVF and I'd like to try somewhere different if I go down that road again....sorry for the long rant ladies.

Emzy I am so sorry you had another BFN. Emzy I think that a change of clinic and FS might be what is needed for you as well. I read that JB mentioned she is getting an endometrial biopsy done this time. I am asking to get one done to. I am doing up a list to take to my new FS so that this time I get all bases covered..Big and take care.

I'm sorry Emzy, hope you can find a good clinic & that you get your BFP soon!

Do you guys think I'll be ok to have a go at archery during my stim cycle? I booked in for a short intro session (only an hour or so of shooting max) ages ago before I knew when my IVF cycle would be. It's on the 5th October & my EPU is scheduled for the 11th. I really want to do it & have been looking forward to it for ages. I'll make sure I use a light-weight bow. If I reschedule then the next course will be during my TWW which is probably an even worse time & otherwise I'll have to wait until next year as they don't run them that often. Do you think it will be ok?

Also, how important is it to stay relaxed during your IVF cycle? My job can be stressful sometimes & I'm concerned about it causing a problem. Basically I work in education & it's my role to cancel classes when teachers call in sick - I start work at 8 (but usually arrive a little early) & classes don't start till 9am. So the student's get an hours notice of class cancellations & that's the best I can do. However I regularly get abused by obnoxious students because I didn't text them before they left home (one student even had the hide to tell me that I had to use my personal mobile phone to text every student in class at 5.30am from my home). Every time a class has to be cancelled the students come & abuse me, even though it's not really my fault. This upsets me & stresses me out & makes me anxious about having to cancel classes & I'm concerned of the affect this might have during the IVF cycle. What do you all think?

Emzy,, I'm so sorry about your BFN. It's great however that you are changing FS and clinic. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can help. Also the new FS might try different method?

Stc, congrats on being PUPO. Hopefully the two week wait fly for you if that's possible.

Hi Ladies, joining this thread as I go and pick up my drugs tomorrow to start my 2nd stim cycle. I got 4 eggs last time, with only 2 that fertilised. Both FETs failed, so giving it another try.

I'm pretty sure we will be stimming together JB, my AF is due on the 17th Oct and I'm always right on time, so I guess I start jabbing on the 20th. As my AF is always on time I'm pretty sure it will be another antagonist cycle but Gareth did say he would look into other things to help us along He's based in Richmond. An endometrial biopsy does sound like a good idea Sharlee, do you know if its very intrusive? or a simple procedure? I, too, like you Sharlee have a great big list of things to go into this next round withOct/Nov is our turn hun Heartstringz, I'm hearing you on the stressful job situation. My job is very stressful at times. I have started having acupuncture once a week for my stress levels and I must say it does help a lot...for a few days at least, that, and yoga. Minib, I'm really hoping you are right, a new set of eyes and a different approach could be just what we need andto all you beautiful girls, hope our BFP's are just around the corner

Heartstringz, I reckon archery will be fine, I did spin and abs classes while stimming! I can't remember, is this your first cycle? If so, just be careful if ur developing lots of follicles. I reckon, just gauge it by how ur feeling. The stress is the most important thing to avoid. I reckon try and find an acupuncturist or try yoga, I do yoga and I love it for relaxing.

Welcome klm, I think we've met on a previous cycle. Good luck!

    Due to start sniffing tomorrow.

All I can say right now is if you are sick dont come to work! Everyone either has gastro or the flu (or both) right now, so no doubt I'll get sick right in the middle of my Ivf cycle. Great, freaking great. We can only afford to do a couple of cycles anyway, we can't afford to waste money having to delay if I get sick. Over this.

It's never easy is it? Are you taking lots of supplements? I feel like I take a pharmacy every day, I think that's what helped me get through the cycle unscathed, keep your chin up, you might sail through it all.
