Default Worried, almost 4DS needing extra sleep

Hi ladies, just after some advice. My almost 4 DS hasn't had day sleeps for over 6 months and generally slept from 8pm-7am each night (11hrs). The last few weeks he's been falling asleep in the car and napping at home and still sleeping 12 hours overnight. Should I be worried? Would he just be having a growth spurt? Has anyone with kids around this age experienced a period where they have needed more sleep than they used to?
    thank you for some advice

Yep my ds went through that when he was 4. Growth spurt, starting kindy, not sure the reason he wanted more sleep but he did. A multi vitamin may be beneficial.
