I'd be seeking the opinion of another gp. I would not be happy that he doesn't take on board your concerns and questions. He sounds like he is giving you the brush off. I had to find a new gp just recently with the pregnancy that I lost. It's definitely worth getting second opinions.

Thanks everyone. Glad I'm still around BH with you lovely ladies but we will probs just go with the flow this cycle in amongst all the tests etc.. I'll try find another for a second opinion but I wouldn't even know where to start after so long with the same GP.

    xx

I think these so called specialists sometimes don't know what they are talking about.... I had first FS appointment last week and according to him my fertility friend app, OPKS and temps are all wrong as according to him because I have a 28 day cycle there is no way I can be ovulation on day 16-17 like all three things say I am. Couldn't offer me an alternative explanation though!!

    I agree with Funchu

Gosh what a retarded GP! I agree with everyone else, id be looking for another GP. At the 6mnth mark, i seen my gp for something totally unrelated to TTC, and he asked if DS was our only child...we said yes, he asked why we werent trying for another...i said we were...he asked how long, and when i said id been off BC for 6mnths, he said "but you should be pregnant now! HAve u done temping? you know you need to dtd in your fertile window rihgt?" and gave me a run down on everything!!
He is getting old, and he is sometimes a bit blaze with some things, but he was FANTASTIC during my pregnancy with ds

Do some google searching and calling around to different places asking what the best place and dr to go see is. That would be the best bet I think. Or like a pp suggested, ask on this forum. Either way you should be able to find a decent gp. Hugs and im glad you stuck around bubhhb is really good for when things get you down cos you have hundreds of ladies right by your side to pick you right back up again

What area are you in. Maybe someone in this thread can suggest a gp if it happens that you live near another hubber.

I went for a pre Ttc check up with dh's family doctor. I said we were getting married soon and asked what I needed to do health wise. Somehow he thought I didn't know about the birds and the bees, and was about to tell me what sex was! I was 27!
