Default Opinions: Do you prefer to buy home made or store bought??

As the title reads... When it comes to stuff for your baby.. Do you prefer to spend the little extra and buy quality home made items?

I make a lot myself and do like to buy hand made. I like supporting WAHMs. I don't mind paying extra.

Generally store bought, as I often don't like home made stuff. I'd be happy to pay more if I did, but often find the quality or style of home made stuff is not what I'm after.

Are we taking food or other items like clothing?

For food, homemade where I can. The jars or sachets of baby food come in handy when out.

Everything else is store bought. My mum & mil made a few little things for the babies hats, blankets, Beenies & stuff like that.

I love buying things from my friend's small businesses and home made or locally grown whenever I can. I do enjoy the convenience of store bought when you are time-poor though. I miss convenience, living in the middle of nowhere.

I make a lot of things myself, we're on a very tight budget so I'll make katelyn things like a pretty skirt and team it up with a $3 kmart top.

Jasper I'll make things for if he asks me to, but I'll often spend maybe 3 hours on a requested rainbow beanie for him to wear it twice :-/ least katelyn I know it's worth the time because I dress her!

I prefer to buy homemade at markets etc, mainly because I find it to be better quality and a little bit original. Wish I had more time to make it myself.

Oh sorry I just thought home made food. I love supporting WAHM and having them make my daughters something for special occasions like birthdays and Christmas but mainly I buy in store due to it being cheaper!!

I prefer store bought (or actually op shop bought) I can't justify the cost of homemade, especially when much 'home made' stuff is a Target onesie with an applique chucked on it. I buy a few homemade dresses, make a few things (dresses, trousers) and mum and MIL knit lots.
