    Default Unsure when due? Help?

    Hi all,

A little confused when I'm due lol, I have a doctors appointment on Monday for a blood test, so I guess I'll know then, but too excited to wait (just found out I'm pregnant 2 days ago. ))

The first day of my last period was the 11th June, I had my implanon removed on the 24th June.
The doctor said it will take a few weeks for body to go back to normal, didn't get my period on the 11th July.
I took a pregnancy test on the 12th and it was negative. I took one 2 days ago (24th) and it was positive !!! (Still hadent had a period) Took 3 more and they were positive too, one said I was 1-2 weeks pregnant.
according to a pregnancy calculator I'm due march 20 2013 and I should be 6 weeks pregnant right now. Confused?

    so am I 1-2 weeks or 6?

On a digital test 2 weeks means 4weeks.
How dark we're the lines on other tests. Do you have a photo?

I can't figure out how to add photo, but first test both lines are dark, second test I took today the not pregnant line is slightly lighter than the other.

It's a tricky one but if it says 1-2 weeks then you are probably at least 4 but not 5 yet. I guess having a scan at 7 weeks will be most accurate.

Assuming your body 'jumped into action' once the implanton was removed...would it take about 14 days to o? (For follicles to develop etc). That would make ovulation at around 10th July making you just over 4 weeks pregnant.

A dating scan in about 3 weeks time should give you a very good idea when you're due.

    Congrats!

You need to ask for one before 12 weeks. It is used mostly for women like yourself that don't know how far along you are and also for women with history of miscarriage or ectopic and I think done when going thru ivf

Yep, though its quite common for people to get the dating scans 'just because' these days. You don't want it before you're likely to be 7 weeks otherwise they might not be able to see a heartbeat yet.

There's no 'first' ultrasound really...each is different and have a different purpose and its your choice really what ones you want. Obviously though in your case a dating scan will be really useful. My first scan will be the 20 week (morph) scan - though not many people can wait that long to see their bub.

I got my BFP a few days ago, the digital that told me 1-2 weeks like yours. Because I have an irregular cycle (up to 40 days long) the Ob wants to do a dating scan, even though I'm pretty certain of my dates. I think you might be in the same situation and they will probably want to do the scan to see where you are in the pregnancy.

Unless rules have changed u need to get it done by 9 weeks for ir to be bulk billed as its classified as a dating scan.
