    I wore my ug boots to work a few times. People could have judged me as being less than professional, but actually my feet were just cold.

    I think judging is any idea that you form about something, based on limited information, and it can be positive or negative. The problem is, that the ideas we form are based on assumptions that are often not correct.

    All the judgment threads here come back to the same principle, which is: I disapprove of someone who doesn't act in the best interests of their child. The judgment becomes stronger and more widespread depending on how much of a perceived impact there is - so more people judge the coke feeding parent than the formula feeding parent and more judge FF than BF. This is also why we see so many differences of opinion - we all have different perceptions about the impact of various parenting practices. The more harmful we think something is, the more we judge.

    I wish we could all just agree that we all want the best for our kids , but also admit that we don't know exactly what "the best" is.
