Default Guest at beach wedding - what to wear??

I've been invited to a beach wedding in October and have no idea what to wear! The invite doesn't have a dress code, so I was thinking something knee lengh or just above but not sure what style or colour. I did have my eye on something like the below pic, but not sure if the style suits a beach wedding??!:

I'm medium height, size 10 with olive skin and blonde/ caramel hair. Please throw some ideas at me

I would probably wear something pastel, maybe orange or lime green , a floaty type dress. I'm not sure that black would be a good color to wear to the beach. It may be a bit hot?

I wouldnt wear anything floaty or with a full skirt, its likely to be windy on a beach. I'd wear something similar to what you posted, but in a lighter colour and perhaps a floral print. No metallics or sequins or the like.

I was initially inclined to say a Maxi dress, but I think that's way too casual for a wedding, even if it were a 'casual' wedding, but think what you've posted is perfect, but would tend to not wear anything dark as it would seem a bit more formal.

Thanks for the replies I thought about a one-shouldered floaty knee length dress, but then thought it might be windy and I'd be forever trying to keep it from flying up. If I went the style of the pic posted I would try to get a lighter colour (maybe turquoise?) - definitely want to avoid dark blue/ black.

If not the fitted style, this is similar to the floaty style I was thinking (a lighter colour though). Opinions?

Nah I like that dress. It's gorgeous.

Even a strapless dress would look good.

I think it's everyone's first pic to wear a maxi but I think shorter whilst still respectful would look great.
