So I made the chicken and corn risotto from the Toddler book tonight - I added peas and some feta, both boys loved it! We also had gold old banana ice-cream for dessert.

I STILL haven't tried the brown rice soup, ha ha! Must do this weekend.
Where have you been for ages!! Missed you. Glad you're back.

Enjoy it!! Hope it arrives super quickly for you!

I've got the Quirky Cooking book too (actually my mum ordered it for me) and can't wait to cook some things from it - but I will probably do what a PP said (sorry I can't remember who it was) and just substitute with standard ingredients. Some of the recipes are a little too "out there" for me - or maybe they just seem that way because of the 10394772 ingredients that you need for each one!!

I have to admit I got a bit carried away by the hype of her book - particularly because my in laws are dairy and gluten intolerant and I figured it would be nice to have another trick up my sleeve other than the Flourless chocolate cake that seems to get requested for every family event. I actually don't know that they would eat much of the stuff in the book. I think that what I need to do is sit down and read it through properly, bookmark a couple of recipes to try and then experiment to see what can/can't be left out of them. Hopefully that whittles down some of the ingredients on the crazy lists! I will be happy to post back on my cooking adventures if anyone would be interested.

I have to (grudgingly) admit that I do like her Singapore noodles recipe. The reason it is a grudging admission is because I am from Singapore...and Singapore noodles aren't actually a thing!! But my husband LOVES them. So he was pretty thrilled that I agreed to make these and he really enjoyed them. Found them a tad salty to give the toddler though.
