What dishes are you cooking? I have made butter chicken and chicken risotto using the butterfly and the chicken stayed in chunks and was cooked perfectly.

It really is sometimes I really find it just as easy to throw some lamb cutlets on the grill than fiddling with the thermie. I still love her <3 And am thinking to try some smoothies etc for DP so I can utilise it a bit more. I'm not a smoothie fan but I guess it can't hurt.

    Put it on reverse.

Remember the reverse option turns your blades into a spoon. Otherwise they will chop!

Might sound like a ridiculous question but are you sure you're using it on reverse?

I don't like it for cooking chicken, I find it ends up stuck under the blades and goes all funny.

Actually I tell a lie - I used it to make tea. The instructions were very specific that the water had to be heated to 90 degrees...perfect temperature water thanks to thermie

How do you shred the chicken in it?? That sounds awesome!

Cut 2 chicken breasts length ways , fill jug with 1 litre of water, place chicken in varoma.

Varoma temp 25 mins speed 2.

When done empty jug add chicken and blitz speed 3-4 for a few seconds

    Done!

My ds#2 who has mega food aversions, thinks its from a roast chicken and eats it on a roll with cheese.

He NEVER eats an alternate of anything! So this is a huge success for us and i make it every week sometimes 2x a week.

You can put it in zip lock bags and freeze portions if it too
