My childless SIL has read the studies too. She says it's something to do with the pixels. It's also to do with lack of physical activity I think. DS watches 1-2 hours a day. I think he's ok.

Jasper watched lots of tv at 2. Particularly when he was regularly getting up at 5am (and he wasn't sleeping through, so waking heaps and then up at 5) and I could put on DVD and he would sit and watch the whole thing start to finish so I'd drag myself to the couch, snuggle up with him, and I'd go back to sleep till it finished.

Also then when pregnant with katelyn, we could watch movies all day if I couldn't handle getting out.

Though I find we don't watch so much lately.

Miniscule is an absolute favorite here. I ended up buying both seasons on DVD
(about 100 episodes) and they get a big work out.
Also chuggington, Peppa Pig in the night garden, charlie and Lola and Timmy time

He pretty much just watches whatever his big sister wants, but they seem to be favourites at the moment.
