Honestly, what are the chances this baby is going to be in a crash. They will have so many escourts it not funny. The chances of this baby being hurt is like 0%. Plus, they probably just wanted to get home away from media scrutinizing everything they do.

Wow, brand new parents made a mistake. Best go start construction on the public crucifixes right away. Seriously, I'm sure someone will tell them. It's scary bringing home your firstborn, and nerve wracking. Imagine doing it in front of all those photographers etc knowing the whole world would be watching. I'd probably eff something up too!

I have no doubt that car is probably one of the safest places in the world for that little one.

However the millions of people that will see that and think its safe to put a swaddled baby in a capsule like that is what concerns me. It would have taken a minute or two to do it correctly.

I know they are new parents but also role models. It's not like they didn't have time.

Pretty sure the child's late grandmother thought that too

Discuss what? They'd been parents for about 24 hours and put the car seat on wrong. I'm sure someone would have a quiet word with them about it by now. Katelyns car seat was in wrong for her trip home from hospital, but once I realised we were just around the corner and I fixed it up when we got home. (and that's a second baby!)

I'm guessing no one showed them how to correctly put him in the capsule.

I'm sure they'll be told now!

I have nothing negative to say- they are new parents and look how they've tried to keep him all wrapped up and warm, bless 'em They're obviously doing what they think is right, they'll be shown the proper way next time.
And I'm normally not a fan of the royals one bit, but this pic has shown me that they are just as normal and prone to mistakes as any other new parent.

Yeah I kind of think it's endearing that they made a mistake. Hopefully gives them a quick car-seat tutorial, but otherwise it's a bit cute that they're just "normal" first time parents.

Normal rookie mistake, they are still human like everyone else. Gosh i'm glad millions of people weren't watching while DH and I were putting our first born in the car for the first time - what a joke that was LOL! We would have been the topic of a thread on here for sure!
