Thanks wobbler! It's a bit of a surreal feeling that I'm now at the end of the first trimester. It feels like it's taken ages to get to this point, but at the same time I can't believe I've had this little one growing inside of me for 12 weeks (technically 10, but ykwim). Only about 6 months left to go!

Congrats Arlais on your good news with the scan I had mine this morning and all was great bub was measuring correctly for gestation although I have a stubborn one on my hands. The little peanut was facing down and did not want to move we tried everything rolling around, star jumps and eventually a 15 minute walk and a chocolate croissant did the trick. My risk factor was 1 in 9500 so I am happy with that. Was so good to see bub looking like a bub. Feeling such a sense of relief now after the scan and looking forward to being able to share our good news. Good luck to all the ladies with upcoming scans and all the other April mummas.

So glad to hear both your scans went well Arlais and FTmumma! Must be a relief!

I know wobbler! I'm so excited to see bub again! Especially now he moves and looks like a bubby! 8 more days!

I have a question, might sound a bit odd lol, does 2nd trimester start at the beginning of week 12?

Week 13 is the end of first trimester in my mind but people calculate it differently...

    I think it goes

    1 - 12 first trimester
    13 - 25 second trimester
    26 - 38+ third trimester

So in my mind you start the second trimester when you hit 13 weeks. Feel free to debate though!

FTMumma glad to hear your scan went well. I had to go to the loo and let a little bit out 4 times during my scan because my bladder was squishing bubs too much! It was really wiggly but once my bladder was nearly empty it settled down but stayed turned away, little monkey

Ohh exciting! Was everyone excited? I forgot to say we did ours the other day too! Nothing on FB just told those near and dear. Such a relief to have everyone know!

Also on a personal triumph, no vomiting at all yesterday for the first time in close to 2 months!

Hi ladies I feel like I can't keep up with bh and fb at the moment!

Lilac, that is definately worth celebrating!! Hope the vomiting stays away for good now

How good are the scans? Glad everyone's has gone well so far. So funny you had to do star jumps and eat a choc croissant to get bub around the right way FTmumma!

I had mine on Monday but haven't told anyone new yet. I went to tell a friend who I see at work but I couldn't get it out...it felt awkward to say "guess what? I'm up the duff!" Working on a fb announcement - my dd loves playing babies/mummies and last night asked to have her toy kangaroo zipped up inside her onesie. I took a few photos and thought I could post one with 'We're expecting' or similar. We'll see! I think now we are able to tell everyone I don't feel the urgency or excitement, and most of the important ppl already know

    Have a good day!
