Just had our scan, measuring at 6w5d (so 4 days behind what I thought) and a gorgeous flicky heartbeat of 114bpm
It really was awesome seeing something, makes how sick I've been feeling worthwhile. Our EDD is 13th April 2014

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

We went out to dinner for my mum's birthday tonight and it was the first time I was a bit sooky about not being able to eat certain things. It was a French restaurant and they do an amazing pate which I LOVE, but obviously it's on the no-no list. I couldn't even try a bite of my DH's venison which I also adore because it was too rare.

I'm not fussed at all about not drinking alcohol, but I'm starting to miss some foods like that and I'm only a couple of months in. Of course my mum and my sister said a bit about how they had the occasional drink and ate stuff during their pregnancies, but the subject was dropped pretty quickly when I just smiled and continued sipping my water!

our ward is full of gastro here so worried of getting it yet im keeping away from the patients.

Told hubby ill try some of the wine we boughy on our honeymoon when we get to second trimester. My mum used to occasionally have 1 glass of wine a week when pregnant with all 3 of us, never kbow mightn't feel like it then. Gone 3 wks now and thats the longest ever. Can say there are things i miss already too but not willing to risk bub just for food lol

I know what you mean Arlais! I'm missing sushi! I've already put in a list of foods I want brought to the hospital lol! I was never a big drinker so that bit is OK for me!
I hope you don't pick up that gastro wobbler!

Anyone had any feelings yet about what they are having? I didn't till our scan but now I'm feeling it's a girl.

I haven't had a drink for more than a couple of months now - I stopped just before we started our ivf cycle. I'm not completely against drinking when pregnant, most people I know enjoyed a glass of wine every now and then. I'm pretty sure when it gets to summer I'm going to be quite happy to have a cold glass of cider!

I hope you manage to avoid the gastro Wobbler!

Lilac I'm having my scan on Tues, but at the moment I'm flicking back and forth between what I'm having. When I first found out I was thinking boy, but I'm not getting that so strongly any more and I've been dreaming about a girl a fair bit. Is anyone concerned they're going to be massively disappointed with the gender?
