The insensitivity continues! Decided to not tell anyone else at Christmas. My dad's partner started pressing me for info, the way she usually does. It never helps that her kids shoot out babies each time they look at each other. Then she went on to tell me she 'understands what we're going through' and 'maybe we should stop trying so hard'. Her and her ex husband had 'the same problems and came very close to having to have dye through her tubes'. She can be such an idiot, she didn't even stop when I said 'yeah, we've done that... TWICE'.

Not so happy start to the new year, being spent in the ER. was about to call it a night around 10pm when I got brown CM when I wiped.

Ive been down this road before and know what is 'safe' bleeding and what is cause for concern.

But we took off for hospital anyway 1) I was 5w5d, and my missed miscarriage only ever measured to 5w6d 2) I've bled with both of my previous pregnancies. With DS (who obviously survived) I had 'concerning' bleeding right off the bat, loads and loads of bright red blood. But my miscarriage began slowly with brown CM/spotting.

It all just seems eerily similar.

Got home at 2am and googled, which was surprisingly comforting. Brown CM could just be from the uterus stretching. And if I followed the timeline of my m/c it would be starting to kick it up a notch any moment now.

So now we wait. Need to call hospy shortly to get a time for an u/s

Phoning my husband, who is 1,500km away at work at 11pm was such a horrible, horrible feeling.

Measuring spot on for dates (actually a little ahead). Gestational sack looks great, no sign of deterioration. Everything looks perfectly textbook, except no heart rate. Though could just be too early, 5w6d by my dates, 6w1d by measurements.

    Bloods taken to check HCG.

    Now we wait.

Hi Ladies, I am wondering if you mind if I tentatively crash this thread? I used to occasion the TTC 12 months+ thread before moving on to an IVF thread. After 20 months of TTC and our second round of IVF, We recently had the best Christmas present in our BFP.

This will be our first bubba, and DH and I are incredibly happy although at the same time nervous to see that little heartbeat. I am 6weeks today. Our first scan is booked in for the 11th Jan, when I will be 7w3d. My EDD at this stage is 27th August.

Missus Mac, I am sorry that you had such a scary start to your new year. Thinking of you and willing your little one to stay strong. When I called to make my ultrasound appt, the receptionist said it is sometimes difficult to see a heartbeat before the 8w mark. I am sure your bub is nestled in deep and tight.

Shelby, your 3D scans are amazing. What a gorgeous little face!

Waiting, little Caleb is amazing. What a precious smiley little man.

NicT, You must be getting very excited to soon meet your little one.

Munchkin, I hope you are feeling well.
