Not everyone tears and it doesn't happen every birth - it's usually only if there are issues (or if one doesn't pause to let the stretch happen). So don't worry about it now! I'm sure they'll invent the beaming out technology before too long I have a positive story - with DD I had to push her out in two goes due to cord around neck and heart rate dropping - no tears

Have a look on you tube for hypnobirths or calm births. I watched a few hypnobirth videos and they weren't too bad

MrsLa (I think) I went to soft cup bras once my boobs went up a cup size (about start of 2nd tri/ end of 1st). I think there is a lot of conflicting info but I want to breastfeeding and therefore didn't want underwire causing any issues, so went for soft cup bras.

Hi everyone. It's great to see all you Graduates who pop in after had bub to see how we are all going! Does anyone know what page the list of due dates is on? I keep getting lost and want to see who's due when :-)

AFM im well. 37 weeks tomorrow. I picked up my labour tens machine yesterday, and bubs chest of drawers for room arrive tomorrow, so getting prepared. Both my hospital bag and bubs is packed. I'm loving maternity leave, I've been busy all week so plan on having a quiet one today.
I like coming back in here and checking up on everyone and hearing about these bubs arriving.

Not long for you now. Very exciting times. I'm glad you're enjoying your maternity leave

Due dates are somewhere on page 1

Thanks for the great advice guys, very much appreciated.

Hopefully I've uploaded a pic of bub successfully. No name still though!

She is very good, sleeping loads!

I am on post natal ward now after a long wait for a bed in delivery suite. I am quite uncomfortable due to the surgery, but not too bad. They had to get her out really quick due to dropping heart rate and a vacuum pump didn't work so it went to forceps. It was really intense, scary and the hardest thing I have ever done. I can't believe my labour was four hours start to finish. I hardly had time to process it and by time I got to hospital was almost fully dilated. DH has never driven so fast in his life! I've been told I coped well given the circumstances but I don't feel like it at all.

They said my perineum was doing really well (had used epi no for weeks stretching up to 9.5cm) but the doctor had to use a lot of force to get her out and it just couldn't take it so I tore. I was upset having to leave bub for 1.5hr for surgery but fed her first and DH cuddled her, she was fine. Luckily the spinal didn't make me ill this time like when I had my c section.

So all in all, not exactly what I had planned but it was still the drug free VBAC I wanted and my recovery is quicker already. I am glad I waited for her to come on her own, she raced to the finish line that's for sure!

Give yourself some time, Bond. It seems that you did fine considering the circumstances.
