Do you also have a shower head you can take off at home? If not, decor tomato sauce bottle is great with some saline (salt) solution for cleaning down there. Filled with warm water, not cold! Also good to clean after going to the bathroom.
Love the practical advice/ something I never would have thought of.

I've never had a third degree, only 10 stitches. I never know whether to say anything but hopefully she is being looked after already. I also don't recommend "sliding" off beds, chairs! I always pack some metamucil in the hospital bag now - also good after c-section or surgery! It's sometimes the little things that count!

I agree with Metamucil. Also ural, to take the sting out of weeing. And leaning forward when you wee or poo. And ice packs in your undies are a godsend. I haven't had third degree tear, only second degree.

I watched three different birth videos last night and have to admit I'm not excited about giving birth especially since I'm adamant I want no pain killers especially an epidural!! My DF was quite freaked out watching them with me and was shaking his head repeating 'oh no your poor va-jj' hehehe was funny!

Congrats bond, can't wait to hear her name. Finally your little girl is in your arms, I bet it was worth the wait. Ouch about the tear, hope you recover quickly.

MrsLa (I think) I went to soft cup bras once my boobs went up a cup size (about start of 2nd tri/ end of 1st). I think there is a lot of conflicting info but I want to breastfeeding and therefore didn't want underwire causing any issues, so went for soft cup bras.

Hi everyone. It's great to see all you Graduates who pop in after had bub to see how we are all going! Does anyone know what page the list of due dates is on? I keep getting lost and want to see who's due when :-)

AFM im well. 37 weeks tomorrow. I picked up my labour tens machine yesterday, and bubs chest of drawers for room arrive tomorrow, so getting prepared. Both my hospital bag and bubs is packed. I'm loving maternity leave, I've been busy all week so plan on having a quiet one today.

Hey Channy and MCB there are some positive stories out there about natural births without tearing and drug free! I'm hoping to be one of those...... Oh hang on aren't we all :-)
