Have been trying not to be on bh too much as I'm trying to crack open an assignment. It's begun...I just need to find the meat.
Bond girl: Glad to hear you're in the right head space. Hoping those period pains turn into something else really soon.
MCB: Hope you all enjoy your birthday dinner and anniversary. And it's not the end - our kids love going out to dinner and are quite good. We tend to take drawing/books/light snacks whilst waiting for food...and now there's iPads!
Toni - I am in Newcastle. Loving the pics.
MID - where is Forest Lake?
I'm one of the mums that gave up work - they even offered to give me long-term maternity leave for 2-3 years, but we don't have any family around and I only had the choice of FT work at the time. So, I would have seen our kids for a total of 1.5-2hrs a day. It means less holidays, meals out, shopping and choice of where to send the kids to school and have had to put off moving into next step of housing for a few more years. On the other hand, DS loves preschool and being trained in that area, there are so many benefits that they pick up from being there.
Got quantitative hcg bloods back and they were okay, but not overly reassuring. they went from just over 2000 to about 3500 over 3 days. It then depends on which site you google as to how good this is! (I know I shouldn't google) The doubling time is fine as anything over 1200 takes up to 3-4 days to double, but the results themselves are the lower end of the hcg spectrum for that time in pregnancy.
I wonder if I can block myself from bh for a week? Better get cracking...
