Hmm MrsT it sounds like you have a tricky one on your hands! You also sound like you have a lot of patience. If it were me and I was told that DF wasn't ready to come home I would just say fine get a taxi when you are lol. It's nice of you to run around after him but that's a favour - so he should appreciate that you don't have to.

It also sucks that he becomes like that when drunk because it would be hard to address with him when he is in that state. Sometimes in situations like this all I can think is to do something out of character. It usually makes them notice and also worry a little.

I did that with my ex once - she was always one of those I didn't realise the time kind of people. Naturally I would worry and see if she was okay but one night I decided not to. I didn't call or MSG when she hadn't shown up. Instead I walked to a friends place (in the snow as I was living in the UK) and hung out with her until about 7 in the morning. My phone was going off every 2 minutes but 'I didn't realise it was ringing' and I also 'didn't realise the time'. She felt what it was like to not know what was going on and to worry all night - also sobered her up quick smart haha

Maybe a little taste of his own medicine is needed? I hope you don't all think I'm horrible now! I just think sometimes people only understand if they are shown.

Also agree with you MrsT about names. We have said we will go in with 3 different names and choose what suits

I love the name Eleanor, very pretty and when shortened to Ellie it's nice too. I like Harper as well for a girl =)

Love the names that people have thrown out there so far! Love all of these names!!

Owen was taken by a close friend - I think it's a gorgeous name.
Jackson + Lachlan are DF's nephews
Oliver is my best mates surname but love love it!

Kaelyn/Cailen/Cailin is a friends DD's name and its one of our top 3 at the moment. Just can't decide the spelling but so pretty

Lol Rain I don't think ur a bad person I think u are awesome !!! Such a good move. Wonder if it would work on DH.
Well I may be patient, but not patient enough. I told him last night that enough is enough; he could choose me or the alcohol. End of story. No fighting or arguing, just make a choice.
Lets see how long he last though *rolls eyes*.

Am loving these names too. I think 3 names per sex is a great tool. It pays to have made a good firm decision, but also to leave options open. A healthy mix of the two :-)

I love Eleanor as well, even Elle for short... Have to convince DH of it though such a beautiful name. Haven't even thought about boys names, I am convinced I am only having girls?

I may have won DH over with this definition:Eleanor \e-lea-nor\ as a girl's name is pronounced EL-a-nor. It is of Greek origin, and the meaning of Eleanor is "sun ray, shining light". Variant of Helen. Also possibly from the Greek name "eleos" meaning "compassion", or from German "ali" meaning "other, foreign". History: Eleanor of Aquitaine (12th century) was heiress to a large part of France, wifeof two kings and mother of two more (Richard the Lionhearted and John). Her powerful personality, intelligence, and energy made her unique then.

Good on you for taking a stand! What did he say? I would do something to follow through if he does go out and do the same thing again. Maybe stay at a friends place or make him sleep on the couch? Something to show him you were serious. Something I have always made a point of telling partners is that I will fight about something if I care. If I have stopped fighting about it then chances are I have stopped caring. The next time something happens that would have ordinarily caused a fight and you keep your cool and don't fight about it or get mad, they will question why and start getting paranoid that you don't care about them or the relationship anymore.

It also allows you to feel like you are taking back some of the control as well

Babies R Us delivered a catalogue today.. Can you believe I spent over an hour looking at it?! It was only like 5 pages but I had to look at everything in full detail several times haha. Obsessed!

Mrst, big hugs to you. Does sound like your dh needs to grow up just a little. Yes, still gp out and have a good time buy realise there are limits, especially when he is asking you to be around to collect him. Oh, and sounds like you live down near me...not too far probably? I'm in byford

Rainbow, sounds like you know the babies r us catalogue back to front since you're well into the research, start making a list of what you would like and the prices you find. Will be a huge help down the track to go back and see who does good deals & cam price match

Sorry, on my phone so can't recall too many more personals. As for names though, we have a middle name if we have a boy (dh family name), if we have another girl, not sure. Dd has my middle name, was always a given as it has been passed down through many generations. We did like Ryder for a boy when pregnant with dd, girls...Annabelle or Talejah (pronounced tal-ee-ah, polish pronunciation of the j)

Michelle - the research is definitely my forte! I've started compiling a list of things I want so that I can look up reviews and prices I think when the time is closer I will price it all up if we bought everything separately and then we can go back to baby warehouse and see if they can price up a package. Then we can see what works out best!

Right now I'm watching a show called 'deliver me' and this woman is about to be induced because she has a 9+ pound baby on board! Eeek!
