    Question Night weaning

    Hi everyone!

I've got a 16 month old DD who I breastfeed to sleep and we also co-sleep.

We had our ups and downs but right now I really feel like I am ready to night wean. I don't think DD needs it anymore. She wakes up out of habit. And it's draining me out too much.

I would love to hear some success stories about night weaning.
How old was bub when you night weaned? How long did it take you?
What method did you use? Did bub sleep through the night once completely night weaned?

I am also interested to know if somebody continued with the night feeds, when did your child grow out of it?

PS: To be honest I am also a little bit scared if I don't night wean now, it will be harder later on. And I don't want to leave it till my DD gets more demanding etc. I am also planning on starting toilet training in spring/summer, so I think it's better to night wean before that.

Thank you very much in advance!

Google dr jay Gordon night weaning. Fantastic resource. I used it just after ds turned 18 months. Took a bit over a week- but gentle calm and minimal tears.
