Default Didn't claim FTB A last financial year

    Hi,

Our second child was born in April 2013. I didn't realise my husband and I earned less enough to receive a small amount in FTB A and rent assistance (I thought we earned way over cut off). I only figured this out after having a play with the online calculator and putting in our details for last financial year out of curiosity.

Does anyone know if this will be picked up after we do our tax? Will we be back paid? Will we be entitled to some of the FTB A supplements? Or is it too bad, I miss out because I didn't claim?

    TIA for anyone with information

You will need to fill in forms to claim at end of financial year, do it once you have lodged your tax.

I always over estimate so we don't receive anything during the year- FTB A & B are both back payed after our tax returns are lodged.

You can claim FTB as a lump sum online if you have access to online services.
