Threegoes... it happened to me so my thoughts are with you. It really sucks! As far as I was concerned it was just one of those things, my FS at the time thought it may have been the short antagonist cycle I did, so switched me to a down reg cycle, which had better results egg wise, 9 I think with 2 transferred and one blast frozen. But my new FS has since switched me to boost/flare last cycle and we got 9 eggs but only 1 fertilised ( didn't use icsi). Hopefully your FS can shed some light, please let me know what his/theories are.my thoughts are with you... go out and spoil yourself and be mad and sad... its a ****ty thing to happen after a lot if build up/anticipation

Hey threegoes, iam so sorry for your news. It sucks and you must be feeling terrible to say the least. I hope your fs gives you some answers soon. Unfortunately it is one of those things that do happen and it's not necessary that it
should happen all the time. Pls don't lose faith, this Is not an easy path. Take care.

Threegoes Im sorry to hear what happened, but as Ann said it doesnt necessarily mean it will happen again. Unfortunately IVF is not an exact science and so many things are out of our control.Your fs hopefully will come up with a new protocol. I know it will leave you feeling very vulnerable from now on when ever you go to egg collection. Let us know how you go with your appointment today.

Three goes, I am very sorry to hear about the bad news. When I asked why 3 out of 4 of my eggs had not fertilised I was told that:
    1) had abnormal cells
    2) was immature
    3) in 5/100 cases when doing ICSI the egg does not make it

I hope you get some answers soon from your FS

Three goes - I'm so sorry to hear you woke up to no eggs. So disappointing & frustrating. It has happened to me once with our old FS. Turns out I ovulated before egg retrieval so lost them. We changed FS and this has never happened again. Old FS halved the Cetrotide dosage which wasnt strong enough for me. New FS uses full dose Orgalutan and this seems to work for me.

I hope you got some answers today from your FS.

Thanks for your replies ladies, really appreciate it. I guess, we keep doing this to ourselves eventhough we know better, we will find out in due course! It's 5dp today n feeling a bit crampy today some behind my belly button and some further down..... Mmmmmm the progesterone!! Had a nice break with dh on the border of NSW n QLD, northern rivers n tom he flies out overseas n I fly to Syd back to my sisters. Dh will be duty travelling to 6 different countries in the next 3 weeks (dont envy that!) incl Paris ( envy that though!) wish I could join him! I guess I have failed do many times before withy cycles that easier to think negative. This being a donor cycle has also seen us spend a little fortune! Feel the pressure on!

    Em, how are you going?

Hi jojozeck, myheart, fingerscrossed, wanabe, Sunny and everyone else.

I just have a few final details to iron out, then it looks like a green light for my CGH cycle. I really hope I still have what it takes to get results similar to the last fresh one.

Awww, thank you ladies. What an amazing group you are. I really appreciate your kind words & support.

Ann all the very best. I remember getting really bad cramping thanks to the progesterone....Being with your sister will hopefully make time go fast while your DH is away.
Springrain....sending you all the luck in the world for your next fresh.

AFM....Well, I went to FS today with no answers as to why there were no eggs at pick up but I've got a new protocol. The protocol is :
    Clomid 100 day 2 to 6
    Elonra 150 Day 3
    Menopor 150 day 6 to 10
    Purge on 750 day 6 to 10
    Saizen 5iu Day 6 to 10
    Orgalutran 250 Day 8 to 10
And of course continue with testogel
Whilst I know nothing about these drugs, it feels like he's called in the big guns Anyway, fingers crossed, i learn all about them in two weeks when my next cycle starts
