Oh Fort, - I'm so so sorry. There are no words of comfort that are enough. You take extra good care of each other. I hope you get answers soon. xxx

    Bertie, - Fantastic Idea!

Team Panda, - I love hearing about up-coming scans. I hope you see a super strong little bean in there.

My fs thinks mine are chromosome, did you have d and c's to at least get some answers that way?

Is there a "waiting to see the specialist to see if I'm wasting my time" section?

Fort, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I know what an awful experience it is and to have it happen twice is unimaginable. Look after yourself and take the time you need to come to terms with it. I hope your FS has some answers for you. X

Spring rain - Dh says thankyou ....

Fortitude ... how awful... All i can think of to tell you is this. Heres what ive read regarding recurrent losses. In nature there is a 4% chance of 2 mc. The chance of 3 if or when that would occur is so statistically improbable as to point to a definite problem. When that problem is identified it is treatable in 85% of cases. So by that logic, in your position you could either just have been be super unlucky, or have a good chance of being successfully treated. Stay strong and see what the specialist says. Things may work out yet.

Fortitude, my heart goes out to you...so sorry to hear about it. I hope your FS can find the answers and you are able to heal soon.
Bertie, thank you for the roll call, makes it so much easier to keep up to date with everyone.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes for tomorrow. My DP and I have been praying our only little embie survives overnight.

Does anyone know why follicles don't fertilise when there is an egg in them?

Dear Fort, I'm sooo sorry hearing about your loss again. How devastating :-(
I send you a big hug and lots of love. Hope you can find some happyness soon.
what Butterfly just said is right. I read that too and I spoke to a doctor in Sydney about natural killer cells and/or autoimmune diseases. And after all my years and losses of IVF I found out that I have a autoimmune disease which suppose to be the biggest killer for my embryos. I just started taking some tablets for it, so we didn't start IVF yet, but it gave me lots of hope. If you like you can give Dr. Matthias a call and I'm very sure he will be able to help you.
Good luck and a big hug

Fortitude.... Oh, I'm so sorry for you. I've never had a BFP, but I just can't imagine getting one and then MC. That's just so dreadful, it's like you're just about there and then it's pulled away from you. I just can't imagine how you must be feeling. Thinking of you xx

Tinybaby4me.... I know that not every follicle has an egg in it. Then not every egg is mature. Then not every egg fertilises. Then not every egg grows and develops. Then not every egg implants. However, I don't think anyone really knows why, otherwise we wouldn't all be stuck in such a situation where we are. I think partly it's just nature's way of selecting just the best to go on to full-term. I'm sure there's lots of factors, including age, medical issues, as well as just individual body differences. I'm sure that doesn't really help, but hopefully it sort of answers your question :-)
