Hi Everyone - apologies if this has been asked/answered earlier - what clinics and doctors would you highly recommend in Melbourne for IVF at 43?
    Thanks in advance

My heart - I'd be pleased if my fs thought I should give it a go first. My last FS told me my next option was donor embryo after 2 AIH and no discussion on IVF. I decided to change FS after that and a couple of stuff ups.

Sunny - so glad that you're progressing nicely and the bleed hasn't turned into AF. Hope you get to have an u/s.

Bertie - hope your fs gets back to you soon. I have no patience and would be going insane to know what he thinks about your idea.

Spring rain - I think I would do the same as you, get cracking on another cycle and if that doesn't progress as planned then you have your two frosties.

    Ann17 go embies go.

State of wonder - sorry I'm in Perth.

AFM waiting to hear back from clinic whether progressing to epu tomorrow. I'm concerned that I started to get mucus yesterday before my trigger and saturated today. I'm worried that I've already ovulated or its happening right now. Clinic said they didn't check my LH yesterday as I was on Lucrin but last cycle they had me on orgalutron and that didn't stop me ovulating on my own. I'll be peeved if they go to EPU and find my eggs have left the nest.

State of wonder, I'd recommend Lynn Burmeister or Nick Logatsis at Monash IVF. A lot of women of 'advanced maternal age' use and recommend them. I'm with Lynn now, used to be with CFC... Monash is a lot better and actually cheaper as they include all costs in their fees.

    Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your encouragement, I really appreciate it and admire the number of times some of you have had to do this.

My scan today showed 4 good follicles at:
    15.6
    23
    18.9
    18
the others were 11 and under 10
    endometrium 13 mm
I trigger tonight at 7pm which means Friday at 6:30 am will be ER.

My thoughts are wish for the best outcome and be prepared for the worst ( well... trying to anyway)

Jeepers thats an early EPU tinybaby... better early than late though, fasting is not fun. Sounds like you've got a few good follicles there, all the best for Friday.Em xx

If you go with Lynn it can take a couple of months for an appointment, Nick is not quite as long - but if your flexible with time ask to be put on the wait/cancellation list and you normally get in within 3 weeks.

Tiny you have some good juicy follies there! You should be pleased. I have had a 6:30am epu too n had to be at the hospital bright n early! Adv I'd that you font have to fast for too long! Good luck.

Cuddle iam so sorry love you must be beside yourself. I have been on org 3 x cycles n synarel thrice it did the trick for me. So did you have to have a bt done to see if you have ovulated n I really hope you haven't. Comment re your old fs - unbelievable glad you left the d@&$head! Sorry.

Sunny how you going? Hope you haven't had anymore scare ? It's never over the worry is it? Have you had any more bt n u/s?

kaycee hows your tww going? Will you do a sneak peak hpt later? Iam always naughty n do that but if you on pregnyl I guess you really can't.

Spring I think I would perhaps be inclined to doing stim although the thought of doing a FET would be tempting and I know what you mean by having that hope in the freezer, I have one too!

afm - day 3 report: 7 good embies n 2 maybe babies but probably not.

    Hi Everyone
Twocam - I hope we get to the point where I can wake up happy. Truley, you sent shivers up my spine when I read that! It must be so lovely.
Ann - Its great when ivf goes to plan without too many obstacles being thrown at you. Sounds like you are having a really good cycle.
Springrain - it does take a while for the body to bounce back after chemicals and mc. But it is remarkable how we all bounce back even though its been tough. And how ready we are to move forward as soon as we can. I hope you have success with the cgh. Its a longer and harder process to go through but at least you will know definitively which embryos will be normal. Will you test the frozen ones too?
Sonny - great to hear you are in a good place. Are you on crinone as well? I havent had any spotting but put it down to my twice daily crinone.
Stateofwonder - I second what Emski said about doctors for older women. They are the 2 best and most experimental for older women.
Cuddelready - I can imagine how stressed you must feel. I hope they have come back to you with good news.
Hi to everyone else. There is alot of activity on here at the moment with lots of people starting cycles and in the middle of ones.
AFM - had my third blood test this morning. I have hardly any symptoms. And this morning my boobs were hardly tender at all. But then i had an ever so slight amount of queasiness that was hardly noticeacle. I dont know, guess have to wait for that dreaded phone call again.
