Hi Sunny, I do actually have immune issues...High NK cells and so I have intralipid therapy with my cycles. I was tested for loads of other things after our first IVF failed but that's the only issue identified so far. My FS is pretty proactive so I'm happy to stay with him for now.

It's nice to hear you say 'only 40'...hehe

My AMH is crazy high for someone my age without PCOS (54.3!) so I get follicles and eggs but a good egg seems to be eluding me. I am totally considering an egg donor as a very realistic option but we plan to re-assess that at the end of the year if we're not pregnant yet.

Thanks Ann17 and Team Panda too for your nice comments, and to anyone else I may have missed.

It has really helped me this week to be able to vent here and have your support.

Panda great hcg nos n happy burping, it's a good burp we like that one!

Sunny how did ur bt go yest ?

afm sorry for typos guys typing on the mobile! Scan went good today 11 follies but perhaps 9 mature ones. FS was very careful in stimming her besides unfortunately the nurse didn't do her fsh on cd2 baselines so fs went along with his experience I guess. Epu mon, we flying to Bris on sun n dh flying in on sun too. Triggers 1:00 am sun morning yikes! My lining was 6.3 but nurse said still have a whole week to grow before tx if 5dt. I think 7 mm+ is what they like to see. Hopefully it thickens up by tx. Yes my niece is truly great nothing is too much trouble for her. It's pay back time for all the baby sitting I did n diapers I changed . Who would hv thought that 24 yrs later ......... All the diapers n drools n tanties in the world wouldn't measure to what she is doing for me. We r both sick as dogs at the moment with fever no fun getting bt n u/s!

MrsErinR, so sorry to hear what happened. for a better next cycle, hope your FS has some answers.

Ann, so glad to hear EPU is coming!

TeamPanda, glad to hear little Panda is doing well and has given you some reassuring signs

Sunny, hope you and little sunny are going well

Tinybaby, how are things going now?

Em, Kenta, Myheart, Luca, MrsP, Bertie, Twocam and everyone else.

AFM - Finally back on the internet again - DH's "tinkering" meant that we had only intermittent access for a few days
AF finally showed up after almost 8 weeks, so more testing and the scientist appointment is about a week and a half away.

    Have a lovely weekend!

Tinybaby – great to hear you have 6 follies growing. That is a really good number & a great start. I hope they continue growing well for you.

Sunny – Yay for a strong heartbeat. I hope your spotting has stopped and you got good blood results today?

MrsErin – so sorry that this cycle is a bust for you. Hopefully it was just the extra Menopur and Omnitrope (what is this haven’t heard of it)? But wow what an amazing AMH you have! I am sure you will eventually get there in the end. It is hard when you throw so much effort into a cycle too.

MrsP – how you going? Hope your 8 follies are growing along nicely. You wouldn’t be far from ER would you?

Ann – Sounds like everything is going along well for you too. Good luck for EPU for your niece on Monday. Hope you both feel better soon.

Panda – Good luck with your next BT/scan. I can imagine every time you go it is just getting over hurdles all the time. But looking good for you so far.

Spring – glad the Melatonin is doing it’s job for you.

Hi to everyone else and good luck all the cycling ladies.

Hi All.... my Mum has come up with a crazy plan, that I just now can't get out of my head. I really don't know if I should even dare to ask my FS about it, or just say "no, it's not possible" to my Mum. I really don't know which thread to ask this in, so thought I'd try you all, since age is really my main issue now.

Mum's plan, that she thinks I should do is as follows.... since we only have one more go with the donor sperm at this next cycle, but the straw of donor sperm has 100 sperm in it, but I'm likely to only get, say, 5 eggs, and this is likely/possibly be the last go with my eggs before trying my 38 year old sister's eggs, why can't both my sister and I do a stim cycle at the same time, and use the straw of donor sperm - half on my eggs and half on her eggs. Then if I get any embies, 1 would be put into me, the others of my sister's would be frozen, to save for me for a later FET. Even though I know my FS won't do this, I just can't get it out of my head, and I can't think of any logical reason why it can't be done. There's enough donor sperm in one straw to share. I would have to pay for 2 stim cycles (myself and my sister). My sister would have to get her AF cycle in sinc with mine (but that's no different to a straight DE cycle). My sister would sign over the eggs to me, which is also no different to just a straight donor egg cycle.

Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Am I brave enough to even dare ask my FS? Once I use this 3rd try with the donor sperm, I go back to the bottom of the list and have to wait another 4 months (or more) to access donor sperm again. Can my Mum or I think up anymore crazy plans? Perhaps I'm on drug withdrawal at the moment!!!

In Perth, known donors have to have counselling etc and then a 3 month cooling off period. Have you guys done that?

That just sprang to mind but if done I would ask the fs, what have you got to lose.

I was also curious what has the fs said about using 38 year old eggs because my friend who is 36 in March, my specialist has said because she is not much younger than me that I will be running into to chromosome issues like with my 2 miscarriages I have had. Just interested in your specialists opinion on it.

    Good luck x

Bertie, - It sounds good to me, I would definitely ask. The worst they could say would be, No! But if you don't ask, you don't get! I have no idea of the legalities of it all though. Maybe someone else could shed some light.

Ann, - I love following your, and your lovely nieces story. I hope your FS got it spot on, and you get your BFP very soon.

Springy, - Yay for AF. You can finally start the next chapter.

MrsErin, - Sorry about this cycle. Wow that is a crazy high AMH! Does your FS have any theories as to why it's so high if it's not PCOS?

Tinybaby, - Hope the rest of your cycle keeps going well.

Panda and Sunny, - Glad to hear your little ones are going well. So very reassuring.

AFM, - My cycle was cancelled yesterday. We had no follie growth over 2 more scans. Mainly due to my stupidness, as I screwed up my drugs. I've been so upset at myself, but I guess I've got to get over it. I'll go in and see FS on CD 20 of this cycle to have a scan and see whether we can cycle again next month.

    Hope everyone is well.

    MrsP...

Erin thanks for your nice words. Will keep you guys posted .

bertie I can see the reasoning behind your theory!

afm very quick one as I need to sleep n wake up for trigger at1:00am and then 5:00 am for my sister to take us up the airport! Niece is still so very sick, her bubs is sick, her younger sister is sick - she will be babysitting bubs along with my sister who is sick as well!

Bertie I don't see any harm in enquiring. Though as previously mentioned you will probably need to do counselling first. A friend of mine donated her 39 year old eggs to her 42 yr old sister and they got pregnant first go. They did both have to have counselling though.
Mrs P sorry about what happened with your cycle. Don't beat yourself up about it now. What's done is done. Remember I hit a car the day before egg pick up and I know it's because my head was all mush at the time. We all have a lot on our plate when we are doing our cycles and I think we become so emotionally exhausted that we don't function correctly. I also didn't take my prednisolone and clexane before transfer though I know I always take them well before. That one wasn't entirely my fault, but what I'm saying is its done and all we can do is move forward. Do you down reg? Because my fs let me do my cycle straight away this time, by starting on d21 she said I had enough of a rest.
