    Hi Everyone,

I start my first cycle today, thought I'd share how I feel and hope for some encouragement from you, advice, comments etc.
So....feeling anxious, scattered and not really focused, cautious and trying to see it as just a medical procedure so I don't get my hopes up too much and considering it is the first one it it is trial and error. Trying to keep busy.
This is an antagonist cycle, medications are:

    Gonal F 250
    Orgalutran 250
    Ovidrel

Hope I am making sense. Have a good week everyone.

Tinybabyforme Good luck on your first cycle. What your feeling is normal. Be prepared to feel more scattered and unfocused than ever before!
Kenta and Bertie unfortunately when you have done as many cycles as we have you become quite disillusioned. I was feeling the same this past cycle, you wonder why you keep doing this just to get the same results as the last time. The thing is sometimes your luck changes, other times our bodies were probably just not ready. I don't know. I have no idea why this cycle worked and the others didn't.
It might just be a numbers game.

Panda - you must be over the moon! You have a great HCG!! So whens your next beta?

Emski - so sorry for your BFN it doesnt get any easier even if you are expecting it. But its good that you are moving forward to your next step. You just gotta keep going in this journey.

Tinybaby - good luck with your cycle, we are to be cycle buddies!

Bertie - hope you are feeling better after your melt down! I think we all go through it one time of another! If you feel you shd keep trying with your eggs, you should do that, I certainly did that. Actually I did wanted to give my eggs couple of more gos but DH was ready to move on to DE and eventually the thought of having a chance with younger (fresher!) eggs increasing my chances out-weighed my own cycle doubts. Plus I am getting impatient and wanted see my two pink lines and the sooner the better!

Hello, Luca, Myheart, Tiny, Kenta, Two Cam, Springy, Sunny....and everybody else reading along!

AFM - well I had a crazy last week trying to organise my cycle, which was a bit of a challenge, with donor in Syd, FS in Bris and me overseas! Well Iam back now and we are cd 6! I am on my drugs and my lovely niece is shooting up and she is very diligent with her shots and synarel - in fact she reminds me of my synarel times! She is very relaxed and makes it look like no biggie! Not sure when EPU but obviously next week. Wed we go have a look/see see where we at. She is on pretty low dose of 125 (compared to my 600iu) but she is 24yrs. Feels like a totally different cycle as I dont have control over anything at least with my own cycles I knew what to expect from my body.

Thanks Panda...like anything in life, I guess you have to try to have a chance so that's the way I think about it now.

Tinybaby, good luck on your cycle. The only thing I notice is that your dose of gonal f seems low but I'm sure you FS has a reason for it. It's all very daunting at the start but just do as you're told and ask clinic if you are not sure and set alarms on your phone.

Tinibaby, - You are making perfect sense. What you are feeling is perfectly normal. I truly hope you have beginners luck with this first cycle. I'm keeping everything crossed for you .

Ann, - Wow how exciting, you have a wonderful angel of a niece. How does it feel to be home for a bit? I am CD 6 as well so it looks as if you have another cycle buddy.

And speaking of that. I had a scan/bloods today. 4 small follies on each side ATM... E2 7180, P4 4.6. I'm looking forward to seeing how I'm travelling on wednesday when I go for another scan.

    MrsP...

Hey Mrs P - those e2 no.s sound good for cd 6? FSH started on cd 2 - thur so technically Iam cd 5 but I did wonder why FS said she could go on Wed or Thur for scanning which puts her at cd 7/8, I used to go in at cd 5/6. Iam also on a bit of a different supporting drug regime this time. And yes it is bloody good to be back!! My other niece is getting married next month so busy planning a wedding with her and having to do lots of shopping and internet surfing! Keeps my mind distracted.

Ann - congratulations on starting a cycle. You sound really positive and ready to get stuck into it. Sorry I dont know about viagara. Have they given you a script for these?
Mrs P - good luck for your cycle. There are a few of you cycling together at the moment. How exciting, I hope we see lots of good fortune in the next couple of weeks. Everyone on here deserves it.
    AFM
I wont lie to you, I am petrified of this next bit of monitoring. I have 2 blood tests thursday and following thursday, an ultrasound week after and my fs wants to scan me sept 9. You get over one hurdle then you have an endless amount more. The 2 ww phone call sends me into a state of anxiety which has got progressively worse after every cycle. Now i have to get through 2 more phone calls to see if levels are rising. I guess its all out of my hands.
    x
