I agree, Starfish. I refuse to hand full responsibility for MY body over to someone else. The egos of many doctors seem to dictate that we ask no questions, accept all their decisions and do what we are told. And then ultimately it is us as women who live with the consequences, not the doctor...

Thanks again for your advice. Will let you know how I go!

    Hi ladies,

An update on my journey. Had my consult with Dr Shaw today and she was wonderful. Explained everything really well and did another US just to confirm the situation. I managed to get a spot in theatre at the private hospital for late afternoon so got the procedure out of the way.

Must say every member of staff was so kind to me and very positive, from the nurse who did the admission, the anaesthetist right through to the other nursing staff who I woke up to after the procedure.

So far I've had very little discomfort, almost bordering on none. At this stage so glad I opted for the D&C instead of waiting on a natural miscarriage but will see how the recovery goes.

Many thanks again for all your advice and support. So very much appreciated. xxxx

Glad things were able to move quickly once you met Dr Shaw. All the best with your recovery and hoping your next bub is your sticky one xx
