    Default Psychologist rebate?

Just wondering if anyone knows the deal with.

The place I want to go through quotes $175 per hour with a Medicare rebate of $125 meaning it would cost $50 per hour.

I am under the impression you only get this rebate 5x then your left to pay the whole $175 per hour

    Is this correct?

    Hi Sammy!

On the better access to mental health care plan you recieve up to 10 sessions a year. Your GP will do a second referral after 5 sessions.
Its based on a calendar year so depending how you space them out 10 sess will get you to start of next year when it refreshes.

Ask for an ATAPS plan, it entitles you to 18 sessions with a view to more. Your GP must write ATAPS on the referral though.

Sorry Kimmus I have only just seen this- yes they work in the same ways the mental health plan, so subsidised but depending on your psychs fees there may be a gap. ATAPS just allows you more sessions.
