I'm not complaining about info being shoved down my throat, in fact I'm asking you for info to try and understand why you're drawing your conclusions and opinions. Not really the same thing.

Open ears? What are you talking about? Post some links, give us something to read and we'll all read us. Tell us however that Malaysia is safe and the UN convention is outdated just because it is your "opinion" and expect us to change our minds? Ermm...

It's hard to when you're not providing anything other than your own opinion, which unless backed up with some factual information is just that, your opinion.

I posted it a few above, the UNHCR link, they finally properly commented yesterday. I apologize in my wording though, the news last night said the UN said Australia would be breaching international law, but the UN link is more diplomatic about it, saying they are worried Australia will breech international law.

Yeah, I am fairly sure that PNG isn't just going to go ahead, no questions asked. I think it will most likely be challenged at some point.

Arm chair warriors is not meant as a personal dig at any one specific individual. It's a shorthand way of saying something that I can't be bothered typing out each time "I asses with extra scrutiny the views of those who have no personal experience in directly working with asylum seeker issues. This is because most people are already overly emotional and biased when it comes to this issue and I can not take what they say word for word. And I will not be conned into believing someone because they have an aura of righteousness about them. I do not accept a righteous attitude from someone if they have never actually lifted a finger to help those they are claiming to be righteous about."

See much easier to say armchair warrior.

If anyone is personally offended by this I apologise... But geesh.. Harden up.

I find this sentiment so sad. Why is a child born into a war torn country less deserving that someone like us born Into a "first class lifestyle". It's absolute pure luck where we are born. I hear this a lot and it is so disheartening.
