Well then it's about time we unsign then. The UN convention is out of date, the UN are doing diddly squat to stop people losing their lives to people smugglers and they have stuff all plans in place to solve the overall problems. It's all good to sprout idealistic philosophy but unless they provide a framework in which countries can participate and not go broke/downhill themselves then it means diddly squat. The only way the UN will succeed in their goals is by building consensus with countries (and accepting an 80% solution) instead of dictating a 100% solution to them.

Are you really crying bullying because I asked you what you're reading? So sorry I am interested in seeing what is helping you draw your conclusions. Considering you'll only read what you deem appropriate or right, my impression would be your view is the most biased.

I want to hear personal stories rather than sift through pages of stuff posted by armchair warriors.

No wait, either you want to hear stories, or you don't VP. You can't have it both ways. Babyla suggested you watch "Go back to where you came from", but you have stated you won't be forced into watching and reading things that are suggested. Very confusing.

No one is bullying, but if you are going to have such strong opinions on a subject then show me the money. Seriously - where are you getting your information from?

You are beginning to sound like...and antivaxxer. gasp.

Oh dear - here come the personal attacks again, because we are asking for her source of information but she doesn't have any. So predictable.

Of course I'm not seriously complaining of bullying. More like y'all are like a dog with a bone with shoving information down people's throats. And I'm not going to bend over and do what y'all say when I know you wouldnt return the favour. Y'all are just as stubborn and unwilling to expand your awareness as moi.

Then I suggest you speak to some asylum seekers. I speak to them every day.

Still no sources to back up any of your claims.

This is just not true. It does not only guarantee safe passage. Where are you getting this crazy info from??

"No Contracting State shall expel or return ('refouler') a refugee in any manner whatsoever to the frontiers of territories where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social or political opinion" (Article 33(1)).[8]

I assure you VP, if you posted some links - I would read them. And I bet the others would as well.

And where does the refugee convention state that refugees are guaranteed a first world lifestyle and their first pick of a new homeland?
