    You just commented, Clementine

My take on this is to persevere rather than give up. It's so easy to say it's too hard and to walk away. The future of my country is something I harbour with great passion and while I may not see sense in nor agree with some of the comments made in here, I'm not about to throw my hands up and walk away because what they are saying is not to my taste.

I love Australia and I value being here. That doesn't disqualify me or anyone else from making the statements they do.

Oh please, this is an online forum where people are debating an issue on their computer. In the real world i am involved in projects that actually help refugee's get settled in their new homes so i'm certainly not walking away.

Exactly, so i can make my own statement too.

No one is disputing your right to make a statement. Although you did say you weren't going to comment anymore

I also was referring directly to this thread and this forum. There are quite a few people in here who work directly and indirectly on the refugee problem. But this isn't about what you do in your home life. That's not for me to comment on. Let's keep this in perspective, shall we?

Isn't it a bit 'high school' to comment on somebody commenting?

I'm interested to hear people's personal experiences such as Clementines. I'm keen to hear who is and isn't an armchair warrior.

Your logic blinds me, Kirst. Truly it does. LOL

Thanks to those engaging in discourse on this difficult subject regarding asylum. You have given me much food for thought and it's much appreciated.

Off to discuss this off screen. Goodnight.

I'm not always trying to keep everyone in the discussion in check though...

    I just found it humorous.
