I couldn't imagine being in a position where I would stick my family on a smugglers boat after seeing images and stories on the news of children drowning on their journey. It breaks my heart, I hope they can make the PNG solution work but ultimately the issue isn't the destination it's the country of origin. That is what needs to be fixed.

It amazes me at your interest in this issue and have still not watched one of the most critically acclaimed pieces on this exact issue - go back to where you came from!
As per my earlier posts my computer is still out of action. Prior to this I did read up on asylum seeker cases, and watch a few video links. However, as per another earlier post I am no longer going to watch video's and read links recommended by folks in this thread. Stats, clips and links can be cherry picked. And if I still happen to disagree the BH majority will just say I am wrong and dont understand, wah wah wah. I am sick of all the nagging and can't be bothered.
    - this is not directed at you personally!

My goodness, then why are you still participating in this thread if you have no interest in what others are saying besides who you agree with?

Fairly certain you could also check out 'Go Back' from your local library or video shop as well.

If they don't have money or a passport, they would probably end up in a dodgy camp somewhere. These are the ones I would rather help. Those with nothing, including passports.
Those that have thousands of dollars, flying on planes with passports, then arriving on boats without passports, in my opinion have more options and therefore require less of our support than those in camps.

    No.
Watching a documentary, as much as you may like it, is not a prerequisite to understanding or debating the topic.
Have you watched the Great Global Warming Swindle?

As mentioned some time ago, just because you have money doesn't make you any less deserving of a safe passage and place to live. Royal families have at times had to flee their home countries.

    1. Back at ya!
    2. Seriously? You expect me to do that just to satisfy your personal requirement for me to be educated on the issue? Get stuffed

But an understanding of the entire issue is, and a quality documentary is a great place to start. Watch it and come back and see if you still feel the same way.
