I ended up being induced which turned out to be a great decision. I went from totally closed unfavourable cervix to 10cm in about 8 hours. Pushed out Eamon last Sunday morning in just 30 min of pushing.
That sounds wonderful congrats and thanku for sharing....this makes me feel more positive about induction ...if necessary

I was post dates and induced at 40+10. My cervix was unfavourable, but 3hrs after the tape with gel was applied, they had to remove it as my body responded so quickly. yes I ended up with an emergency c-sect, due to bubs change of position and distress while pushing, but I would still definitely choose induction to at least try, then plan for an elective c-section, especially first time. I then went on to have a VBAC, and going to have an elective c-sect in 2.5 weeks.
