I have not read any replies yet as this thread is rather long so right now I'll just put my thoughts out there...
I can't see any woman feeling pride about using her body for s3x. I can't see her introducing herself at a party saying "Hello, I'm Jane and I'm a prostitute."

IMO any woman who has reached the point of willingly having s3x with strangers for money must be going through/have gone through some heavy stuff. I don't believe that she would be proud of her "job".

Having said that, I think my new signature says it all...

Where did I say that? Nowhere. Of course men can fall in love with a woman based on personality.

I think for the most part though the majority of men are more easily 'hooked' by a woman's appearance in the early days. Whereas women can more see past physical unattractive ness and get "hooked" by personality in the early days.

I have a theory. I think it goes back to the caveman days. Men were traditionally looking for someone to produce the 'best' offspring (ie a 'good looking fit woman') and women were traditionally looking for someone who was a good provider (usually someone who's a bit older and stronger/bulkier?)

I will agree that men are *often* more visual creatures. But there are lots and lots of men that fall in love based on personality, just as women do. I think that's a bit of a generalisation tbh

Oh de ja vu. It reeks of the asylum seeker threads....you write this tripe but we all read too much into it.

As I said in the other thread the tendency for people to write off a woman (or man) who works in the sex trade as dirty, unprincipled...among all of the other things that are thrown around in these threads, just make me feel disheartened that a person is and will forever more be defined by a means of earning a living.

Well, if we're going with theories based on our ancestors...what about this one that applies to the topic of the thread... one of our closest living relatives is the Bonobo, the Bonobo society is based very much on sex, giving out in return for something. That 'something' is not necessarily a monogamous relationship made up of a 'provider & child bearer'. It is kind of considered a pleasurable payment for a favour.

    ..just another thing to consider
