    Default Contraceptive Injection

Apologies if a thread like this already exists but I couldn't find one!

I am interested in having the contraceptive injection or depo shot and would like others stories and experience.

Ive been on several types of the pill and get headaches and reduced labido (this is actually a big point for me as i get depressed when I am never in the mood and feel like a let down to my DH)

the marina and implanon scares me as as the thought of something inserting into my body like that is really scary.

    TIA

I've never heard a good thing about the depo shot

I know you don't like the thought of the iud, but those side effects are usually hormone related, and the copper iud is hormone free

Great, if you want to completely mess with your future fertility! Have not read one good story about it

Yeah I haven't heard anything good either.

I might do a bit of research into a copper iud. I'm just concerned ill go through getting one put in only to find it has side effects and get it removed again

ETA: future fertility is not a big issue. I feel pretty done with one. And would be accepting if I couldn't have anymore. I

My GP recommended not getting the implanon so I went with the Mirena instead. After the first 3 months of AF all over the place, it's been great since.

    Me 29 + DH 33 = DD 7 months

I've had the injection and it was horrible, so moody, spotting, crazy women. Don't recommend it
