Default Pillows for bad neck sufferers?

Ive been going to the physio for the past few weeks with shocking neck pain i can barely turn my neck each side.

We have a new bed being delivered on Thursday and my physio told me to get a new pillow. She said it doesnt need to be expensive but just not too high and a nedium firmness

Well they are all big high fluffy things unless u go expensive ones. I looked at the latex ones but the smell was overwhelming so that put me off. I ended up getting a Dentons medi rest pillow almost half price with all the sales ( was still $55) and its a contoured firm pillow endorsed by chiros and physios

Well ive slept 2 night on it and both days ive woken up still with neck pain but now bad migraines too. Does anyone know if this means it may be actually good for my.neck and its just adjusting to it? Im worried its making it worse.

I dont want to spend a fortune of damn pillows and physio apps so this is driving me nuts. I just want something low and supportive....any recs from anyone with similar issues?

I know your physio recommended a firmish pillow but I have not had any neck pain since downgrading to only sleeping with one pillow and I got a king size feather stuffed pillow. I'm in love with it and you can mold it and fluff it up to suit you. I think I paid $110 for 2 so they weren't that exxy

    Latex is absolutely awesome IMO.

I imagine once you get it out of the packet and put a protector and pillow case over it the smell would be minimal, and would fade very quickly.

I have no advice but can sympathise, 2 out of 4 mornings I wake up with a headache due to neck pain caused by the way I slept that night I'm assuming. I have some sort of firm low supportive pillow (not sure what type exactly dp bought it for me awhile ago) and it doesn't really help much.

Mine aren't latex, they're 100% memory foam I think? There was no smell in mine at all
