Makeba - Yes I too found Dr Lolatgis's receptionist really approachable and caring. They sent me out in the mail a brochure on him - very professionally done and it says they pride themselves on compassion etc.

Hey what about calling Dr Matthais office in Sydney? I did a phone consult with him... ($300) it did take 2 weeks to get in (& apparently that was quick), but possibly if you explain to Gwenth his receptionist (read on the NKC thread though what she can be like... just be persistent) and explain the situation, maybe even put your name down for a cancellation - did you do that with Dr Lolatgis? ---------- Dr M can order blood tests etc and email them to you (bloods are bulk billed as you probably know) - interesting, as my FS here told me to do my biopsy in the 2nd half of my cycle... when an embryo would be implanting. But then hes the one too that said I had "slightly elevated NK Cells" and Dr M said " extremely high " from what I have read of Dr M - that's who I believe.

I hope I'm not adding to the stress by suggesting calling Dr M, but if it was me, I think it's worth trying him as well for a 2nd opinion. Let me know if you need his number, he's not that easy to find on Google,.... or from memory the Google number didn't work - I think I posted his number here, but also sure it is on the NK Cell thread from other ladies too.

    Worth a go maybe?

Hi Ladies, I'm back. I've been staying in touch with all your journeys so congrats to those lucky BFP's and for those with BFN's I'm so sorry. I feel your pain. After a BFN in June i needed some time to heal so decided not to post but I have been following closely. We decided to see Dr M. He has started me on his immune therapy which my FS totally disagrees with as its nit scientifically proven. But my acupuncturist has 3 patients that have had success with it. So I had my intralipid about 10 days ago and I arrived in Cape Town last night for an FET tomorrow. I actually can't believe I'm here again!! I almost didn't make it as my endo didn't respond so well but they upped my drugs, I had acupuncture and had an egg, orange vegies, and half an avocado a day on the recommendation of my acupuncturist and voila......my levels doubled in 3 days. My FS was astounded. I am having another intralipid at the clinic tomorrow prior to transfer. I'm here on my own this time which is a little different to being on holidays with my DH and I miss him already. But looking forward to a day of shopping today. I'm feeling OK but as always appreciate all your support. This forum is an amazing place for us girls to share our emotions as we all know the ups and downs this journey brings. If there anyone else here that wants to catch up PM me.

    Default Thanks

Thanks lovely ladies, it is still so surreal, I have told a few close friends that have been my IVF support for all these years and I can't help do a cry with joy as I'm telling them And today is one more hurdle jumped closer to my little one, closer than I've ever been.

For me it's just now knowing its possible, its a huge mental barrier to cross and I know others that have walked the donor path knowing how possible it is with donor eggs but I couldn't really believe them.

But after all the years with my own eggs and never having a positive then the first donor cycle with two a grade 5d and not getting a positive I was so scared this was going to be a "safety net" that didn't catch me.

You know you think you'll get pregnant naturally, then you go well there's always IVF, then the IVF plan doesn't work so you go, okay there's donor eggs, then there's surrogacy, then adoption etc etc and at each stage there's a process to move to the next safety net and for me I think I thought the donor process was a sure thing first go even though I knew the odds and when this didn't happen the fear of going through as many donor cycles as IVF was huge.

Anyway it's just nice to know that it can happen at one of these stages and gives me a confidence boost that even if the worst case happens with this little one we will get there.

So happy to hear from you abundance and we will be thinking of you and sending lots of baby dust your way.We are right there with you

Good luck rainbow for your scan so excited for you Seven weeks -yay

Thinking of you JodiW hope you have recovered from the time difference and flight and feeling okay

Time going quick enough for you sooty?

Abundance - wow that's amazing, re the acup. egg, orange vege & 1/2 avocado for your lining - isn't it interesting how natural products work.. and so they should! You're acup, doesn't happen to be in Melbourne - sorry not sure where you are as nothing on your signature.

Pixel - I'm hearing you loud and clear. EVERYTHING you just said, I feel exactly the same... thanks for sharing. It's just amazing isn't it how it works and who gets past the finish line with a BFP..... ie both you and Rainbow didn't have a text book cycles & yet look at you both - pregnant, pregnant, pregnant! I can imagine the overwhelming feelings of pure joy you would be feeling.... I just can't imagine how I would feel... well I think I can, and it would be up and over the moon several times, briefly touching earth for a reality check and then off again ! - I'm practising my story telling for my children... - now I am getting ahead of myself. You just enjoy every single wonderful second of it - I'm so happy for you.
