January - I am so sorry that the uncertainty continues for you. I sincerely hope you get some answers soon. I can't imagine the disappointment associated with having to wait six months. Rainbow summed it up beautifully in that it is not the end sweetie. Much love to you and your DH. X

Jennilee - I had a little cry when I read your post. I have been hanging out for your news. They say good things come to those who wait and my god girl have you waited. Your positive story and resilience has certainly been inspirational, giving other women hope. So pleased for you. Xx

Allie - How exciting for you, may you have a wonderful pregnancy

Misleo - your post had me laughing my head off

Donna - I had absolutely no symptoms at all and because I had the Dormicum (Midazolam) for TF, I was convinced that they didn't transfer any embryos!

Unlike my many previous TFs I had no sensation of anyone being bellow the belly button. I truly walked around for two weeks thinking nothing had happened, all the while growing the Springbok.

Jennilee congratulations. I'm So thrilled to hear your news. Enjoy this long awaited time

January, your poor thing. I've had 2 ectopics and the wait is awful. My advice is if you feel pain go straight to emergency as you don't want to rupture a tube. Very painful. However hang in there. Thinking if you x

Haven't been on this thread for some time due to having been pregnant from CFC and Dr Heylen. Only issue I have is hoping to be able to hook my lovely 4.5 month old son from donor up with other siblings in the future, I'm sure he will want to find them. Good luck everyone I am delighted with my little boy and finally being a Mum after 15 years (on and off) of IVF in Australia with no success. Am hoping to be able to go back and get a sibling next year using same SA donor (unfortunately there was nothing to freeze in my case and the only embryo that resulted from the entire process luckily "took" or it would have been a waste of about $15,000 - now have to find the $$ all over again to try again for a sibling but at least I have one little bub now!)

    Hiya girls,

Just a quick one from me tonight. I have emailed Kimenthra at EDSA, Cyndi and Klaus at CFC and basically the response has been that should my BT confirm a BFN on the weekend, even though I have 3 fro sties, all 3 are frozen at day 7 and have not reached blast so a fresh cycle has been suggested....sigh!

So pending BT... looks like I will back on the top end of the roll call...

Jennilee.....Scrumptious news!!!!! Have been asking after you and biggest hugs xxxx

    Donna x

January - I can't believe they are making you wait until next week for that scan. Can you pressure them to do it earlier so that you can have some closure? I guess you are still jabbing at the moment also? My heart really goes out to you... but I know that you're going to find a way and the result will be even more precious because of what you have gone through to achieve it.

Donna - try to remain positive. I've got a really good feeling you're not going to need those little frosties!!!

Sahndi - lovely to hear that you became a mum after 15 years of trying. You sound like a strong and amazing person! Will you be able to still use your same donor next year - what is the limit on the number of pregnancies they can help to create with their eggs?

Laned - can I ask how you managed to get the Midazolam prescribed to you? I am a nervous wreck and I haven't even left Australia yet - I hate to think of the state I will be in on transfer day!

AFM - last night had this sudden epiphany that I was on a bad path since starting the Lucrin. My last IVF cycle resulted in me ovulating through the drugs, so I sent an email to my CFC Dr and my IVF Dr here in Australia - both suggested I stay on the .2ml dosage up until the day before egg retrieval. So another $310 in Lucrin for me... but a small price to pay for the peace of mind. I am quite positive that I am the biggest pain in the butt patient the CFC have ever seen!

I feel like I'm on speed today.... have nervous energy that I cannot get rid of. I made the mistake of having a 2nd coffee this morning when I got to work - OMG did I have the shakes big time.

I fear that I am going to drive my DH and DD absolutely insane before we go in two weeks (2 WEEKS OMG!!!!) I'm so very scared and so very excited. I am praying for a miracle here.

Its so nice to log onto Bubhub and read all your updates. I feel like I am not alone when I am in here. My DH is very supportive, but can't really understand how the drugs make me feel. Not sure how I am going to keep it together for another two weeks at work?

Allieoop thanks for asking after me and congrats for your double trouble - I'd love to have twins - I visited friends who had twin girls they were angels - so cute holding each others hands
She breast feed them at the same time which i didn't think was possible not that i'd really thought about it, the parents made it all look pretty cruisy, DH and I left there house thinking we can do that

I have spent quite a bit of head space going over the possible scenarios and really they are all the same for everyone, so I have to accept that this game is always risky but comes with high rewards.
I am seeing my FS tomorrow so will at least get an objective opinion. I have to trust the process and know that I am strong enough to deal with whatever comes along and focus on the end goal not the details.

Rainbowchaser I know how you feel when you have a stress attack about something and feel like a "pain" to ask for reassurance etc I'm the same excited and scared for the upcoming cycle

Good luck Donna, Sunny15, Sh72 and Anait

Net3811 December will be here quickly

    Big party Jennilee

    Thanks for popping in Sootymay

january all my love through your wait

Thanks for sharing Sahndi I often wonder about the other siblings and can imagine a donor child having curiosity about them.

Laned hope all is going well for you, it's nice to have you follow our progress

Tomorrow is 24 days until we fly out- better get some travel details booked

Donna - Likewise I am hoping like crazy that you won't even have to contemplate a further cycle.

Rainbow - having only two embryos left on the day of transfer, I was gutted and super anxious. This coupled with a retroverted uterus had me asking the clinic for some Valium, granted my FS here generally gives it to his patients for transfer. Instead of Valium they gave me the Dormicum. I went through a Joburg clinic, but I am sure if you ask CFC would be accommodating.

Thanks Pixel. I found the info and support from other wonderful women invaluable. X

    Hi ladies

Well we returned home to Cairns very late on Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning....seriously jetlagged and cannot get back into my normal sleep pattern....5 hours sleep since leaving Cape Town last Monday morning!!!

I will catch up on everyone's news this afternoon.

    AFM
We have the official report on our embryos transferred and frozen.

I had 2 x expanded blastocysts transferred (one a couple of hours ahead of the other).

6 x blastocysts frozen...3 x B4AA (expanded blasties with outer shell thinning for hatching), 2 x B3AA (full blasties about to move onto expanding) and 1 x B2 (blastie but not full blastie).

The remaining 7 embryos were taken to day 6 and 7, but they were slow and fragmented and arrested.

So I am now 5 days post transfer....I have a lot of AF type aches and pains, including my lower back (which seems to alternate sides), in fact the AF type feeling is pretty constant. I wish I was still in CT, as I didn't think and worry about what's going on in there as much as I do now!

Will catch up on everyone's news....but just wanted to wish my fellow july musketeers (DJ and Anait) good luck, as you must be able to have THE blood test very very soon.

    Hi ladies,

First of all a big to the ladies in waiting.

Rainbow - you poor love the meds send me around the twist as well. At least we have an excuse to behave badly

Thank you one and all once again for all the support you have given me. It really helps

Well my numbers have stayed the same so am off for an ultrasound tomorrow! More bloods Monday and seeing a specialist Monday afternoon. I just want someone to decide what is going on and sort it out In the meantime off to emergency if I start bleeding or have pain. Still jabbing etc to keep things stable

I was actually wondering why the hell women in their forties doing IVF need their tubes (maybe they should be removed as a precaution)? So many have ectopic pregnancies which I still don't understand as the egg does not have to travel down the tube anyway Just a thought......

    Hope you are all well
