    Hello ladies
so wonderful to hear the progress stories of ladies in preparation for going to CT and those that have had success!
Allie Oop great news about your twins- Missleo has very good advice about the pleasant shock that news of twins brings. Hope you are settling down into the thought of 2 darlings coming into your world
January- our thoughts & prayers are with you - it's not fair I will be in touch with you soon x
Sunny & Donna- good news about your cycles- fantastic as it helps take the stress off and lets you relax a little.
Sorry I can't remember all the stories I want to reply to...I will take notes next time.
Well as for me- I am 5 weeks & 5 days pregnant with a singleton Sorry I have been absent I just needed tests & more tests to be sure. I know too well the feeling of having your hopes let down. But this time I'm praying is our time.
    Betas were:
    15/7/13- 115
    17/7/13- 298
    26/7/13- 15,551
had scan today & there's a heartbeat of 110 & the bean is measuring perfectly normal.
I still have reservations in my head. I think the continual downs & dramas of the IVF journey do knock hope out of you... I'm sure as time progresses it will sink in.
    Best wishes to all

I had a hystereo a few years back. The most painful procedure, I have ever had. To add insult to Injury my Australian IVF specialist said it was because I was overweight. Told SA doctor about my experience. She had difficulty putting in the catheter to put the embryos in and said she could see why the hystereo was painful. Ends up The entry point was quite narrow...but putting embryos in, didn't hurt at all. But alls well that ends well!

Oh Jennilee - that is absolutely wonderful news. Congratulations
Your third beta is exceptionally high... are you sure you just have one on board? Try not to let those negative thoughts slip into your mind - this is your time, enjoy it!

I'm all cranky pants at the moment.... not sure if it is my delayed AF arriving with full force, the Lucrin or the Predislone... but I am feeling all weird this evening. I'm here in my body, but it doesn't really feel like me. I just told my husband and daughter to try to remember if I am a little more grumpy than normal over the next few weeks, to try and remember it's the drugs - not me... my husbands response was "well, remember that before you go off at us" I could have slapped him!!!!!!!!! The only bit he physically has to do for all of this is to have a fun time with a specimen jar! Grrrrr

Congratulations Allie, Jennilee & Missleo What more can we say... it's just so lovely to hear positive results

We've paid CFC and now wait for our lovely donor to be booked in and have her tests, then we can get our treatment plan and book flights, time off work etc and know exactly what we are doing and when... whoo hoo... we are planning on early November, gives us a few more months salary if we get pregnant !!!

I have to say again how amazing Dr Heylen is - replies instantly to all my questions and emails. We've had all our standard blood tests done again, a recommended Saline infusion
sonogram (expensive too $380 !! ouch... I too got a wee bit emotional, it wasn't overly pleasant... but has to be done!!) - - Interesting as I had never had done or even heard of it in my 3 years of IVF here in Melbourne.

Had to drive an hour frantically with DH's semen sample to Melb IVF today for testing - and also having a biopsy for NK Cells on 13th (want to be sure, and will do the protocol if it comes back positive, even though Dr H said there is "no conclusive scientific evidence" that It affects fertility... but glad he will go with it anyway... the jury seems to be out world wide with FS's, but worth taking anyway I think , if we are going to these lengths).

Thank you too to everyone that contributes, I LOVE getting on here and having a wee read - I think I check this site before FB - can you believe that !!

I don't always like to pop on here, but feel it is beneficial for others, no matter where they are on their journey to be able to read all the information that we share on here, as I know for myself I have picked up so much from this thread... I feel very informed and 100% comfortable with our decision to got to Sa because of this forum.... so much that when the nurse told me yesterday that she knew of a lady 5 years ago that had been to SA, came back with twins, then a singleton a few years later and how impressed she was with SA, even better than Australia in her opinion... that I wasn't at all surprised, as I had heard it all hear before and it made me realise how important this sharing/forum is ... they also said that they do have quite a few ladies come through for the test that are travelling to SA.

    Hi ladies,

Jennilee67 - I knew it would work out for you this time and we are both so happy for you guys

AllieOop - What did I suspect? Twins are awesome

Net3811 - December will be here before you know it

Rainbowchaser - That option I discussed with you on the phone does look great however so, so expensive!!! If there was a guarantee or I win the Lotto I would be doing it for sure.

AFM - Thank you for all your lovely wishes and comments of support, it has, and continues to be an ongoing issue without any hope of a positive outcome. As I am still technically in the early stages of pregnancy it is impossible to work out whether it is a biochemical or ectopic as the numbers are erratic. I am really hoping it is just a biochemical as if they give me the injection to dissolve it I have to wait 6 months before having another attempt due to the toxins that could be left in my system.

This is something I never anticipated and I hope by talking about it here it assists other ladies that are unlucky enough to be in a similar situation.

The injections are really not that bad. I am only struggling with them now as I know that I will not end up with a positive outcome. Poor DH dreads giving them to me because I am so upset. The only reason I have to stick to the medication is that my Doctor wants to keep everything stable down there until they rule out an ectopic pregnancy

DJShears, Sunny15, Anait & Sh72 - hope you find a way to endure the 2WW and all your dreams come true at the end of it

    Good night all

January - you poor thing. My heart goes out to you babe. Fingers crossed that it all sorts itself out naturally and you don't need the shot. The Progesterone shots would also be keeping your progesterone levels high - and this stops your lining from shedding.

When I miscarried earlier this year - almost a couple of days after I stopped taking the progesterone the bleeding started. Have they suggested a scan to try and see if it's in the uterus or not?

Its not the end January, its just a roadblock. Big hugs to you
