    I've only seen one Barbie movie and it was absolute garbage. Vacuous, flirty, and mean and way too obsessed with fashion. Ugh. We were given it as a gift and threw it away.

    I think a lot of the non-Princessy Barbie films are aimed at girls a bit older - who are in school and kind of used to a bit of minor b*tching and whatnot.

    I think the films are crap, but DD (nearly 8) likes them. Meh. I'd just stick with the non-Barbie films.
