Ive had four births there, the last being through MGP in March.
All great births with only minor complaints. Id recommend it, and yes they di offer waterbirths and no it doesnt have to be through MgP but you do need the luk of having a trained middy.

For those ladies who went through the midwifery group practice.... how does it work??? I've just been to drs and she's sent off my referral to Ipswich hospital. She said they should call me to make an appointment around 20 wks. At that appointment do I just ask to be in the mgp?? I thought the Dr had to mention it in my referral but she didn't??

Call antenatal clinic right now. And I mean right now. They have women booking in to the MGP at 5/6 weeks.

Ring the clinic and ask for them to send out forms. I think I sent mine in around 8/9 weeks and I was surprised I got a place with how quickly filled up. I think it took 2 - 3 weeks to hear back from them.

ETA - The clinic will send you out a letter within a week of getting the referral and they will send you out a booking appointment, which is usually before 20 weeks. I got my appointment for 14 weeks, I think they schedule your 20 week appointment at the booking appointment.

My referral was sent off at 5 weeks. I still didn't get in. I hope you don't have a busy month!
