    Default TTC and shift work

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and came looking for support and advice. I'm a shift worker and no two days are the same for me. DP and I are TTC and on cycle 2. I'm trying to begin charting my cycle but as you can imagine, this is turning out to be impossible. Has anyone else faced similar issues and how did you go with it all?

    Hello, HeavenBlue

I'm new too, and in a similar boat. DH and I are in our first month of TTC#1, and we're on completely opposite work schedules - I have a regular 8.30am-5pm job, and he works 4pm-12.30am. By the time overtime on short notice is done, and he come home, it's not unusual for it to be 2am!

So while I don't have answers, I understand your situation. Feel free to give me a shout, and if we come up with any ideas, I'll certainly get back to you!

And to you too! DH and I are kind of resigned to the fact that if it isn't a weekend, when were both home, someone is going to have to wake up in the middle of their sleep for BD. Luckily he doesn't mind

We were due on Saturday. ( now "overdue") with bub #1 which was conceived first go.
Dh works nights I work days.
Don't want to glamorise it for you ladies the whole conception process for us was very much just get the job done, on work days there was no foreplay and we literally sometimes only had 5 mins at home together.
Point of my post it can be done but don't feel bad if its not all romantic. You have one goal and that's to get pregnant

Hi Ladies, not long after I created this thread, I got my BFP. I can tell you this included arriving home from work at 4am to be woken by DP at 630am for BD. There was nothing sexy or romantic about it but hey, we got the job done! I'm now 12 weeks 1 day. Good luck to you all and just BD anytime possible!!
