Motherhood, although extremely rewarding, is also one of the most stressful and disruptive life transitions. This is especially true for new mothers, single mothers and/or working mothers. While we know that many of these mothers experienced high levels of parental stress, less is known in terms of the underlying mechanisms which may promote positive outcomes. Therefore, the aim of our study is to investigate some of these potential protective mechanisms that may work towards enhancing their physical, mental and social well-beings of mothers.
