Butterfly2013 - I am at the same clinic but in Brisbane I found the injections fine. No reactions or side effects at all except a little bit of a twinge in my ovaries but nothing to worry about. Told that is totally normal. I am not afraid of needles though and knew how to give them to my dogs before so as long as you do a quick fast jab you don't even feel it I think people who are afraid and try to go slow and gentle feel it more.

I was a bit scared of the EPU as it was just valium and gas, but while it was a little uncomfortable - I was so relieved it was nowhere near as bad as I imagined. I think the clinic do low dose so they aren't stuck there trying to retrieve 15 eggs in one hit with you being awake as that would take some time. I only had 2 eggs so it was over fast. The gas is your friend and I sucked the hell out of it as I love the trip hahhaha.

    When do you start?
Thanks for the info! I've never been scared of injections, but I've never had to give them to myself. I think I will be fine though. When I've had tattoos and donated blood I watch them do everything and never felt funny about it so I think I will be fine.

In VIC they have to put you under anesthetic for EPU so I will be fully out to it. I like the sound of that gas though, haha. I don't mind the fact they do low dose to start with, I'd rather get small numbers than end up with OHSS that's for sure. I'm so excited for you that you progressed to this stage, I still remember you thinking about starting IVF and convincing DH it was a good idea Can't wait to hear your results, I will be thinking of you Sunday!

ETA: We have counselor appointment 18th, nurse and accounting appointment 24th and AF is due August 1st. So, providing the timing works with drug collection etc we will be starting injections around the 3rd of August! Not long to go now

Probably start testing Tuesday if AF doesn't show but not sure I can wait that long. How about you? How many dpo are you?
