I saw a show not long ago where the parents were registering the birth of their child George. When the guy asked for the spelling (he was filling out the form for them at BDM, must be different in the UK?) they had no idea how it was spelt. So he spelt it properly and they said that was ok. I think that kid dodged a badly spelt bullet that day 😜

I've also seen a lot of Oska's around lately, makes me cringe a little...

I would say it like Ah-lee-uh

Read an article and the little girl's name was Averhy. Could have been so pretty if just left well enough alone!

It looks like Aver-Hi. I have never thought of it as a girls name, more a boys name.

I have never thought of Avery as a boy's name but now that you've mentioned it I instantly love it! I am a sucker for unisex names though, DD has a name more commonly used for boys but I love it 😃

That's what I was hoping. Lol

I have a friend called Eiden. She pronounces it Eiden. This spelling almost looks normal to me now. Lol
Customers at work always called her Eye-den
