Though I'm not sure the parents of all of these recent baby Urbans are history buffs. Maybe fans of Keith Urban?

I just met a baby called keif. Not only is it a lazy keith but keif is a name for part of a marijuana bud! (The parents are smokers)

I may be wrong, but I thought when you registered your baby's name with the Office of Births, Deaths and Marriages, the Registrar could refuse to register a name if it was offensive or "not in the public interest".

The Registrar of BDMs must have a wide definition of "the public interest", bless him!

Noooooo. They didn't. That's really awful, poor child. Couldn't they have just gone with Keith and had an inside joke between them?

I don't like it myself but I wouldn't have a problem if i heard of a child named keif. I liken it to kiefer Sutherland. I would hope it was just an ignorance thing and they forgot the er on the end though.
