Good food for thought ladies re: the name Ozzy. I didnt think of ozzy ostrich and with it sounding like a nickname, i agree now that you mentioned it. My ex hubby alwats said you gotta have a 'full' name in case your kid ends up wanting to be prime minister or something. Nobody's gonna vote for Ozzy. I have a friend who named her boy Lars (from Metallica) and i guess i had this crazy idea that if i had a boy, they could like start a band one day with some other kids named Kurt (nirvana) and Eddie (pearl jam). Hmmm...perhaps I'll put a lot more thought into it. No rush yet, im nowhere near UTD. LOL, Ive enjoyed reading a happy thread today. I usually hang with the long time, multiple fails ivfer's which makes for sad reading at times. Only just discovered that there are lots of other lighter conversations going on here at bubhub. Its been great to remind me that life is good. xox
Was reading Jamie Oliver is about to have another baby and DH wanted to know the current kids names. Petal Blossom Rainbow, my goodness imagine if she wants to be the next prime minister. . ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1468620509.039892.jpg
I like names that mean something . For example people saying if u can't understand it HERE as in Australia? Then they shouldn't use it? That's rubbish. So because u currently live in Aus you should pick a name that Australians can read? Stuff that. If people can't read it they will have to be told once.. And then they can. No big deal imo.
This is for other country names. Not made up ones I'm talking about!

I grew up with a super common first name but an insanely rare last name and I got so sick of it. I got sick of arguing with people about how it was spelled. Like actual arguments. In the end I just let everyone mispronounce it and spell it wrong. Now I have a very popular last name and it's so much easier.
My kids have easy first names and the same easy last name and I made their middle names the crazily spelled names from my heritage. Though Centrelink refuses to spell my daughters middle name correctly and keeps changing it to the "Aussie spelling". Oh well.
Gwayne.... I just don't get it!!!!!!
@Ahalfdozen I'm so curious of these names now!
My DF works with someone named Wolfgang, so I'm used to him referring to him.
How is Katelijn pronounced?
Have they given a reason why they won't accept it the way it's spelt? How ridiculous.
I just realised asking how it's pronounced may seem so rude! Sorry. I'm genuinely curious.
