Default 8 year old boy birthday party ideas

Hi I would love some suggestions for party ideas for an 8 year old boy. We live in a small town and bowling places and party venues are half an hour away and that's fine as bowling is one option but Im worried parents may not want to travel to drop their children off. My son has also suggested having a party at home or a park but I have no clue on party games or keeping them occupied at that age. Any suggestions would be great. I need to get invites out aasp. Help!!!!

    Lego party?

You should check out Pinterest, that's where I got most of my ideas for DS' party.

    Goodluck!

I think if you guys live in a small town everyone is used to driving longer distances? I don't see how half an hour is a long way. And maybe parents can car pool? I think bowling, play centre, rollerskating, movies etc is a good idea for 8 year olds.

What about a grose out party.

The cake is a poo in toilet. Made from a cake blue jelly for water and two mars bars kinda squished a little.

There some great grose games etc.. Just let me know if yoi want some more ideas
